🟢 Responding to the impacts of climate change on biodiversity is an important issue in the SI-HU border region as well. Through its project activities, the BioGemTwin project supports decision-makers, local communities, and stakeholders interested in environmental protection on this topic.
🎯 The goal of the project is to develop a cross-border biodiversity strategy using measures based on digital twin data and simulations, using two pilot sites as examples, with an interdisciplinary approach that serves as an innovative support tool for decision-makers in planning and adopting measures to address the impacts of climate change on biodiversity in the cross-border region.

🥳 One Day, Two Countries, Joint Adventures – Interreg Cooperation Day 2026

What happens when a border becomes a meeting point rather than a dividing line?
💚 When people, places and stories come together, new experiences emerge – and cooperation becomes something we can see, feel and experience.

🇸🇮🇭🇺 On 19 September, around 180 participants from Slovenia and Hungary discovered the region together – through cycling, nature, local flavours, culture and stories that connect the two sides of the border. 🇪🇺
