It will bring together experts, practitioners, and researchers from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge and ideas on literacy.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who submitted contributions to the 24th European Conference on Reading Literacy!
We received exactly 400 abstracts 🤩🤩🤩 from 46 countries 🌍 – from 🌞 Hawaii, through New Zealand, all the way to Vietnam and Iceland ❄️
Our reviewers are already hard at work, and notifications of acceptance will be sent between January 26 and 30. Registration will open on February 2.

Literacy. The Door to a Better World.

The 24th European Conference on Literacy will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia (6–8 July 2026).

We invite: educators, librarians, academics, authors, researchers, special education professionals, and anyone else working in the field of literacy to join the international community in Ljubljana to engage in formal and informal discussions, panels, and workshops.

Types of sessions: Oral presentation, Symposium or Round Table, Workshop and Poster presentation.
