The 24th European Conference on Literacy did not end on Wednesday! 😊

After the conclusion of the official programme on 8 July, we set off on excursions on 9 July to explore the beauty of Slovenia together. Participants visited Bled and Radovljica, Postojna Cave and Piran, or the picturesque Karst region with Štanjel and Kobjeglava.

We spent a wonderful day filled with beautiful scenery, fascinating stories, great company, and unforgettable experiences 🤩😍

We are delighted to share with you some highlights from the third and final day of the 24th European Conference on Literacy and Reading Culture.

Three inspiring days are now behind us, filled with thought-provoking presentations, engaging discussions, the exchange of good practices, new connections, and a shared commitment to exploring how literacy opens the door to a better world.

A big Thank you to all the speakers, participants, partners, colleagues, and everyone who helped make this conference such a memorable event. It has been a pleasure to create a space for learning, collaboration, and inspiration together.

We are pleased to share a few more highlights from the second day of the 24th European Conference on Literacy. The day was marked by inspiring keynote presentations, the exchange of good practices, numerous meetings among experts from a wide range of fields, and the presentation of the FELA Literacy Award 2026, an international award recognizing innovative practices in the promotion of reading culture.

We are pleased to invite you to the 24th European Conference on Literacy, which will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 6 to 8 July 2026.
The conference is co-organised by the Slovenian Reading Badge Society (Društvo Bralna značka Slovenije – ZPMS) and the Federation of European Literacy Associations (FELA), with the support of local and national partners. It will bring together experts, practitioners, and researchers from across Europe and beyond to exchange knowledge and ideas on literacy.

Take advantage of the Early Bird registration, available until 30 April 2026.
