Where does clay come from before it becomes a cup, a vase or an object?
In the five-day masterclass Clay: From Sediment to Ceramics, we’ll explore the full ceramic-making process — from locating and collecting raw local clay to cleaning, preparing, testing and shaping the material in the Ceramics Lab.
The programme combines fieldwork, material experiments, hands-on work and lectures on geology, archaeology and contemporary design. It is intended for designers, artists and practitioners with basic experience in working with clay who would like to deepen their understanding of the material.
