On 22 May 2026, Poljoprivredno-prehrambeni fakultet hosted activities marking the ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, together with the ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ in Sarajevo.
The event co-organised by our project partner CENER 21, Center for Energy, Environment and Resources brought together representatives of the academic community, experts, researchers, students and regional stakeholders, creating an important platform for dialogue on the future of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity protection, soil health and climate-resilient land management.
The project was presented, highlighting the role of carbon farming in supporting climate change mitigation and adaptation, improving soil health, enhancing sustainable land management, and creating new opportunities through the development of carbon markets. The discussion addressed the practical application of carbon farming practices, their potential benefits and challenges, as well as the importance of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) tools in supporting evidence-based decision-making.
The event also emphasized the importance of connecting science, education, policy and practice in order to strengthen regional cooperation and support the transition towards more sustainable, resilient and biodiversity-friendly agricultural systems.
