🇵🇹 youth getting ready for Portorož - Analysis of peer violence in Portugal 😍
📚Education for Inclusion: A Youth Vision for a Violence-Free Society
Shorter: Inclusion X Violence
The project focuses on preventing peer and online violence, using youth work approaches such as non-formal education, youth participation, and the development of social skills. It encourages active youth involvement in addressing violence and empowers them to create safer and more inclusive communities. Participants will develop assertive communication, non-violent conflict resolution, and digital literacy through interactive workshops and practical activities, enabling them to act more responsibly in daily life.
The youth exchange will take place in Portorož, Slovenia, and will bring together young people from Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Romania. The program is based on the ETS (Education through Sport) method, which uses sport as a tool for developing key social competencies and non-formal learning.
Through experiential learning, young people will test different violence prevention strategies and strengthen their intercultural and social skills. The exchange will not only be an opportunity for learning and personal growth but also for connecting youth from different European countries, promoting solidarity, and fostering mutual understanding.
The key objectives of the project are:
1. Increasing understanding of peer and online violence
2. Strengthening skills for preventing and responding to violence
3. Promoting zero tolerance for violence and the active role of youth
4. Developing empathy, social, and intercultural skills
5. Empowering youth for safe use of digital tools
