We’ve received a few comments asking why Preventina isn’t fully free and whether AI can be trusted for prevention work. Fair questions — here’s the short answer.

✅ Preventina is not a generic chatbot. It’s built specifically for prevention science, policy, and practice, using a curated knowledge base of verified prevention materials and structured outputs for real-world prevention work (programmes, implementation, evaluation, policy briefs).

💡 Why a small fee? Because there are ongoing monthly costs to run it (hosting, AI usage, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement). We currently don’t have external funding to cover these costs. Subscriptions keep the service sustainable — and all revenue is reinvested into development and safeguards.

🛡️ Accuracy matters. We’re continuously improving the tool, and there’s a built-in Feedback button inside Preventina to report issues and suggestions.

Institute Utrip is hosting our side event: "From Principle to Policy: Advancing Prevention as a Human Right in Global Drug Policy"

After three days of discussions where prevention is treated as secondary to enforcement and treatment, today we're making a different case:

Prevention is a human right 🌍

Not optional. Not a "nice-to-have." A state obligation grounded in:

✅ Right to health
✅ Right to education
✅ Right to development
✅ Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 33)

We're bringing together experts from:

🇰🇪 Kenya (government perspective)
🇺🇳 UN Human Rights office ( )
🇪🇺 Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe (regional mechanisms)
🇺🇸 USA (civil society implementation)
🇸🇪 Sweden (legal/human rights framing)

I'll be asking the question that matters: How do we move prevention from principle to actual policy?

Not through more declarations. Through concrete frameworks, accountability, and political will to operationalize what works.
