Southeast Asia Engineering Design Competition 2026
Closing Ceremony & Award Highlights 🏆

On 5 September 2026, we proudly concluded the Southeast Asia Engineering Design Competition 2026 at Republic Polytechnic, marking the culmination of a three-month journey of engineering, innovation and collaboration.

The Diploma Category brought together 28 teams and 91 participants, with over 60 judges across Southeast Asia contributing their expertise throughout the competition. Under the themes of Artificial Intelligence, Sustainability and Engineering Design, participants developed innovative solutions and showcased their engineering capabilities.

After months of development and preparation, finalist teams presented their solutions during the final judging sessions, engaging with judges through presentations and Q&A before the winners were announced at the Closing & Award Ceremony.

💙 A meaningful day with Rainbow Centre! ✨

Our volunteers had the opportunity to spend quality time with the students through a variety of fun and interactive activities, including Ball Catapult, Ramp & Roll, Obstacle Course, and the Temi Photobooth. 🤖🎯📸

The smiles, laughter, and excitement from the students made the day truly unforgettable. It was heartwarming to see everyone actively participating and enjoying each activity together. 💙

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort to make this service learning event a memorable one. We can’t wait for more opportunities to learn, serve, and make a positive impact together! 🤝✨

✨ Rainbow Centre Service Learning 2026 ✨

A meaningful day engaging with the students at Rainbow Centre through fun, interactive engineering activities! 💙 From the Ball Catapult 🎯, Ramp & Roll 🛞, Temi Photobooth 🤖📸, and Obstacle Course Robodog programming🏁, every station brought smiles, laughter, and opportunities to learn through play.

It was truly rewarding to witness the students’ enthusiasm and confidence as they explored engineering concepts in a fun and inclusive environment. Moments like these remind us that engineering is not just about innovation—it is about making a positive impact in the community.

Huge thanks to all volunteers, trainers, alumni, and EXCO for your dedication and teamwork in making this service learning event a success. 💙

🌏🤖 ISLP Skudai 2026 🇸🇬🇲🇾

On 12 June, 35 RP students conducted a STEM workshop for 36 students from SMK Skudai as part of our 4th ISLP Skudai!

Together, we explored robotics, coding, and engineering through hands-on activities using Arduino and Tinkercad, inspiring students to discover opportunities in the field of engineering.

We also concluded the trip with an industry visit to A-Control and Instrumentation Sdn. Bhd., where we gained insights into their manufacturing operations and industry practices.

Southeast Asia Engineering Design Competition 2026
Opening Ceremony & AI Training Highlights ✨

On 6 June 2026, the competition officially started at Republic Polytechnic, together with a live online meeting for our overseas teams.

This year, we are happy to welcome 117 teams and 476 participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

A big thank you to all guests, judges, sponsors, organisers, student leaders, participants, and our overseas organising teams for making this hybrid event successful. 🤖🌱

We look forward to seeing all teams develop their ideas for the final judging and closing ceremony.
