What if cognitive rehabilitation could be combined with meaningful community involvement?

The NNICE Programme at National Neuroscience Institute is a unique group-based psychosocial intervention, which aims to evaluate and improve cognitive rehabilitation for individuals living with mild cognitive impairment and young onset dementia amongst other neurological conditions. Through cognitive training and guided volunteering opportunities, the programme helps participants stay active, connected and engaged in their communities.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the NNI Fund is able to support programmes like NNICE that help individuals manage their conditions while remaining engaged in society.

Every amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) journey is unique. ALS is a progressive and fatal neurodegenerative disease that destroys nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control that worsens over time.

At the National Neuroscience Institute, Consultant Neurologist Dr Crystal Yeo and her team from the Neurology Department are using AI to better predict how ALS progresses in different individuals, helping patients and families make more informed decisions and receive care tailored to their needs.

This research brings us one step closer to more personalised care for people living with neurological conditions.💙
