You Matter Too

When someone you love is struggling with addiction, it is natural to worry about them.
"Are they safe?"
"Are they lying again?"
"Will they relapse?"
"Will things ever change?"

But in the process, you may forget someone important: Yourself.

Addiction does not only affect the person struggling. It affects the whole family emotionally, mentally, relationally, and sometimes financially.

You are allowed to seek help too.
You are allowed to speak to a counsellor.
You are allowed to join a support group.
You are allowed to rest, set boundaries, and say, “I cannot do this alone anymore.”

Seeking help does not mean giving up on your loved one.
It means choosing not to suffer in silence.

Your healing matters too. We can help. Call us at 65471011. You matter too.

"Just try harder." "Only irresponsible people get addicted." "If they wanted to stop, they would."

These are some of the most common myths about gambling addiction — and they do real damage.

The truth? Gambling addiction isn't a willpower problem. It changes the way the brain processes rewards, decisions, and impulses. It can affect anyone — regardless of background, profession, or character.

When these myths go unchallenged, they keep people stuck in shame and silence — often stopping them from reaching out before things get worse.

But when we replace judgment with understanding, we open the door for people to seek help earlier, and without fear. Education isn't just awareness. It's a lifeline.

Reflection question:
Which misconceptions do you think causes the most harm, and why?

The Hidden Victim of P**n Addiction: The Family

When po*******hy addiction is discussed, the focus is often on the individual struggling with compulsive use. But the impact rarely stops there.

Partners are often deeply affected — emotionally, mentally, and relationally — yet their experiences remain largely unseen and unspoken.

Many partners describe feelings of shock, betrayal, confusion, and self-doubt after discovering the addiction. These reactions are not overreactions. They are natural responses to secrecy, broken trust, and emotional distance.

Partners did not cause the addiction — and they deserve understanding and support too.

Reflection:
What do you think partners need most when they are affected by po*******hy addiction?
