Headed by our Advisor to Jurong GRC Grassroots Organisations Mr Shawn Huang, our RC organises many different activities to bring residents of all ethnicities and religions together, in the hope of strengthening the Kampong Spirit. The Residents’ Committees (RCs) were introduced in 1978 to promote neighbou

rliness, racial harmony and community cohesiveness amongst residents within their respective RC zones in Housing and Development Board (HDB) estates. Run by residents for residents, RCs also work closely with other grassroots organisations (GROs) like the Citizens’ Consultative Committees (CCCs) and various government agencies to improve the physical environment and safety of their respective precincts. The functions of RCs are to:

Promote neighbourliness, harmony and cohesiveness amongst residents;
Liaise with and make recommendations to government authorities on the needs and aspirations of residents;
Disseminate information and gather feedback on government policies and actions from residents; and
Promote good citizenship amongst residents.

Fresh veggies and even fresher smiles! 🥬✨

​We had such a wonderful time with our Jurong Spring Zone A residents during our Farm Shopping trip to ! Seeing our neighbors come together to support local produce and enjoy a morning out truly warms our hearts. It was a fantastic day of staying active, picking up the healthiest greens, and strengthening the bonds within our Zone A family!

​A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made the trip so lively. We can’t wait to see you all at our next neighborhood activity!
