💗Meet the people who make support possible 💗

Florence was first diagnosed with advanced metastatic breast cancer in 2024. Today, she channels her lived experience into supporting and encouraging fellow members navigating similar journeys. Through her role as a coordinator, she helps create a safe and welcoming space where members can connect, share openly, learn from one another, and find strength in community.

For many living with breast cancer, support groups offer more than emotional support, they provide understanding, meaningful conversations, hope, and a sense of community. They serve as a reminder that while breast cancer may be part of one's story, it does not define who they are or what is possible in their lives.

Thank you, Florence, for your courage, compassion, and dedication to empower others on their journey. 💖

Sometimes, when someone tells you they have breast cancer, the truth is… you may not know what to say.

You worry about saying the wrong thing or risk sounding dismissive. But at the same time, it may feel important to respond immediately because silence can feel just as heavy.

If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.

This guide is here to help navigate those difficult first conversations. Of course, there is no one-size-fits-all response. How you show up for someone will always depend on your relationship with them, their personality, and what they may need in that moment.

But perhaps the most important thing to remember is this: while their energy, emotions, or needs may look different right now, they are still the same person you knew before the diagnosis.

Offer grace. Listen more than you speak. Let them lead. And most importantly, remind them through your actions that they do not have to walk this journey alone. 💗

At today’s Tee For Pink, one of the most meaningful things was seeing so many young people show up with heart for the breast cancer community.

In a world where self-care is often tied to fitness trends, aesthetics, and routines, this was a gentle reminder that taking care of our health also means paying attention to the things we cannot always see. Breast cancer is not just a middle-aged woman’s disease, and conversations around early detection should start earlier than we think.

Thank you for standing with our warriors and helping create a community that cares deeply for one another.

If you’d like to support the programmes that continue to walk alongside those affected by breast cancer, donate via the link in our bio.
