Equal-Ark Singapore Ltd Founded in 2015, EQUAL strives to transform lives through Animal-Assisted Services.

EQUAL is a charity with Institution of Public Character (IPC) status that offers Animal-Assisted Services to children, youths, persons with special needs, families, and seniors. EQUAL partners with animals to provide experiential and educational programmes that help empower vulnerable persons such as children, youths, persons with special needs, families, and seniors by enhancing their social and emotional well-being and supporting social integration in a safe environment — building resilience and inclusive communities.

Sometimes, three minutes can make all the difference.

A UC Davis study found that after just three minutes with miniature horses and donkeys, adolescents reported feeling calmer, less sad and less lonely.

At EQUAL, we see these small moments of connection every day — a gentle pat, walking quietly alongside a horse, or simply spending a little time together.

Our horses cannot solve every problem. But they can create a moment to slow down, connect and feel a little less alone.

This World Mental Health Day, that feels worth remembering. 💚

Tickets for selected experiences on 5 & 6 December 2026 are now available ahead of the full programme launch, offering an opportunity to spend the festive season a little closer to the horses.

All ticket sales and event proceeds support EQUAL’s programmes and the ongoing care of our horses, so every ticket helps make a difference.

Early access is now available for:

Take one of our horses along for a leisurely stroll through our greenery together with your family or friends.

It’s still the same horse.
But it may not feel that way.

As we age, the way we remember and experience the world can change. A familiar face, place — even a beloved horse — may sometimes feel unfamiliar.

But the need for connection doesn’t change.

At EQUAL, we create opportunities for seniors to connect with horses through simple, shared experiences. A touch. A smile. A moment of calm. Sometimes, there are no words at all.

And sometimes, that’s enough.

If you’re still planning your child’s September holiday activities, Horse-lidays offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow and connect through guided interactions with horses in a safe, nature-based environment.

Over 4 half-day sessions, participants will:

30 young athletes. 15 horses. One very different kind of training.

Today we welcomed the Hong Kong, China Olympic Academy to EQUAL as part of their Singapore Overseas Exchange Programme.

For people used to training for performance, this was a different challenge. Horses don’t care about titles, qualifications or how good you are at your sport.

They respond to what they see and feel from you.
And when the horse doesn’t respond the way you expect, that is often where the learning begins.

Do you push harder?
Or do you pause, observe and adjust?

That was our invitation to the group today: Don’t just pay attention to the horse. Pay attention to yourself too.

A very different afternoon of teamwork, communication and self-awareness, with some of the best teachers we know.

What can a horse teach a young person who has withdrawn from the world?

More than you might think.

At EQUAL, our equine-assisted programme offers hidden youths a unique opportunity to build trust, confidence, communication skills, and self-awareness in a safe, supportive environment.

Horses do not judge, do not demand conversation, and respond honestly and consistently. Sometimes, that makes connection feel a little safer.

For youths taking their first steps back into the world, these moments can become powerful building blocks towards recovery, resilience, and social engagement.

🐴✨🎉 A big thank you to everyone who joined us for EQUAL’s Open Stables Day on 11 July last Saturday! It was such a joy to welcome you into our stables, share the stories behind our therapy horses, and show how we partner with them to support the mental well-being of persons in need in Singapore — especially as we celebrated our horses for World Horse Day.

We’re so grateful for the support you showed - whether you shared about our work on your socials, made a generous donation towards horse activities, checked out our partner pop-ups, crafted a keepsake horseshoe, gifted a treat to our herd, or shared EQUAL with your loved ones after the event.
