This was our recently concluded 2026/2027 Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests!

What an absolute blast we had at our recent Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests! ๐Ÿ˜‚ From laugh-out-loud moments to masterclasses in constructive feedback, our members proved once again that public speaking is an art form filled with creativity, wit, and heart.

Best Evaluator, and it wasn't even on home turf. ๐Ÿ†

Evaluation is one of the hardest skills in Toastmasters to master. You have to listen sharply, think fast, and give feedback that is honest, kind and useful, all in a couple of minutes.

So we're proud that our very own Joseph Lim stepped out of our club, visited SP Jain Toastmasters, and walked away with the Best Evaluator title.

That's the Changkat caliber in action: members who don't just grow within our four walls, but go into other clubs, deliver their best, and add real value to the speakers there.

Proud moment for the Family of Champions! ๐Ÿ†

Just a couple of months into her Toastmasters journey, our very own TM Stuti Kamath visited Marine Parade Toastmasters Club and walked away with the Best Speaker ribbon at their chapter meeting! ๐ŸŽ‰

Stepping onto another club's stage as a relatively new Toastmaster takes courage. Winning Best Speaker there takes dedication, practice, and heart. Stuti has shown all three, and she's flying our club's flag high wherever she goes.

She is upholding the spirit of the Family of Champions and inspiring every one of us to keep growing, keep showing up, and keep speaking with confidence.

Congratulations, Stuti! We're so proud of you, and we can't wait to see what's next. ๐Ÿ‘

Feedback isn't criticism. It's a gift. If you know how to give it and also how to receive it. ๐ŸŽฏ

That was the energy in the room last night, as we explored "The Power of Feedback.". The theme of the meeting.

The moment of the night? TM Neha's Ice Breaker speech. Her first-ever speech. And she walked away with Best Speaker. Pulling the room in with storytelling that felt anything but "first time."

Table Topics honors went to Anila, who handled the surprise question with impressive poise. The twist? She was joining us as a guest for the very first time. If that's Anila on a trial run, we can't wait to see what she brings as a member.

And speaking of feedback, TM Raphael showed us exactly what "the power of feedback" looks like in action, earning Best Evaluator for feedback that was honest, sharp, and genuinely useful.

TM Zephan stepped up as TMD for the evening, steering the meeting through a night packed with milestones. And we were glad to have DTM Richard Sng, a widely respected visiting Toastmaster as our Language Evaluator. Having someone of his experience in the room is always a treat.

Six new members were officially inducted into our family of Champions: TM Sarah, TM Stuti, TM Neha, TM Raphael, TM Gyanesh and TM Sanjiv. ๐ŸŽ‰

Speak with heart. ๐Ÿ’›

That was the theme of our chapter meeting last night and every single speaker made sure to live up to it.

TM Chetan Kushte took home Best Speaker with a speech on space and spirituality. Thought-provoking, deeply reflective, and delivered with a presence that captured the room's attention from the first word to the last.

Best Table Topics went to TM Hyder Taufik, who turned a simple question "What's a small act of kindness that made a big impact on you?" into a powerful personal story. He shared how, in the early days of struggling to build his coaching business, a mentor offered him a month of free coaching. One month later, he closed two clients and his business, and life, changed course. A small act. A big impact. Exactly the theme, exactly the heart.

Speaking of heart, special mention to our Table Topics Master, TM Neha, whose thoughtfully prepared questions stayed true to the theme and gave speakers the space to share genuinely heartfelt, meaningful answers.

Best Evaluator honors went to TM Aaron, a visiting Toastmaster who brought sharp, generous feedback to the table.

TM Michael Rahardjo stepped up as Toastmaster of the Day for the very first time and led the meeting with confidence and heart of his own. TM Tanushree Jhajharia delivered a thoughtful Language Evaluation, giving us the word of the day: sincere. A fitting word for a night where every speaker showed up authentic, open, and true to themselves. TM Zephan Wong closed things out with an insightful General Evaluation.

It was also wonderful watching our newer members take on their first-ever roles Gyanesh Solanki as SAA, Ellen as Timer, and Klement Lek as Ah-Counter. Small steps, but each one a big part of their growth journey.

An energizing night, full of heart, sincerity, and growth exactly what Toastmasters is all about. ๐Ÿ’›
