𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁! 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗕𝗖𝗦-𝗪𝗗𝗕𝗢 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻.

A big thank you to Mr Foo Cexiang, Minister of State, Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Trade and Industry, for gracing the occasion as our Guest of Honour, and to our Emcee, Karyn, for a night beautifully hosted. Thank you also to JW Marriott South Beach for the stunning setting. The evening opened with a beautiful performance, "Interstice", by the NUS Dance Ensemble.

The evening celebrated some incredible wins, including the Design Power Index Awards for Best Pillar in Business of Design, Mandai Wildlife Group, and Best Pillar in Market of Design, CPG Corporation. We also honoured this year's SG Mark Top Awards, Special Mention, Gold and, for the first time in SG Mark history, two Platinum Award recipients.

The night also marked the official opening of the Singapore Design Awards 2026/2027, in partnership with The National Council of Social Service (NCSS) and Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO), alongside the presentation of the Top 10 Seed Awardees, selected from 115 submissions across 13 institutions.

🎉 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟬𝟱 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗚 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆! 🏆

Held last Thursday at the JW Marriott South Beach, the ceremony celebrated exceptional design across Architecture, Digital Design, Experience Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Spatial Design, Sustainable Design, Visual Design, and our Special Category: Food Unbound.

This year's theme, "The World is Your Oyster", set the tone for a powerful Opening Panel discussion on "Good Design Leads Good Transitions", moderated by Mr Yong Jieyu (Co-Chair, SG Mark Awards, EXCO Member DBCS, Founding Director of STUCK), featuring:

The panel dug into what it means for design to move beneath the surface, inside a wall, beneath a process, behind a screen, and what that shift asks of designers, businesses and industries:
1️⃣ What is good? Redefining what good design means.
2️⃣ How do we get there? Designing transition and bringing people along.
3️⃣ Are we actually changing anything? Moving from sustainability intentions to systemic action.
4️⃣ What does change do to us? AI, work, identity and what we have to let go.
5️⃣ How do we know it was good? Moving from craft and outputs to consequences and evidence.

The ABEL Microsampler is a purpose-built nasal liquid biopsy device that enables reproducible, site-specific collection of high-quality nasal fluid for diagnostics and drug discovery. Designed for clinicians and researchers, it reliably and comfortably captures controlled sample volumes with minimal contamination, without requiring endoscopic guidance. Already used in clinical studies to profile respiratory biomarkers, the ABEL Microsampler opens new pathways for more precise and personalised treatment across conditions including asthma and chronic respiratory disease.
