On Batan Island,
there is a school where heavy rains often disrupt daily life.

When it pours, mud washes into the campus,
covering the playground and taking away the children’s space to play.

Even inside the classrooms,
a damaged roof once meant students had to endure the rain as they tried to learn.

Safety and comfort—things many take for granted—
were never guaranteed.

This time,
Singapore Scalp Association stepped in to help.

By funding the construction of a retaining wall,
they stopped the mud from flooding the school grounds.

By repairing the school’s roof,
they gave students a dry and safe place to learn again.

These may seem like small changes,
but for the children,
they mean the freedom to play,
the chance to focus,
and the dignity of a safe environment.

When the rain falls now,
laughter can still be heard across the campus.

Because sometimes,
a simple act of kindness

A short trip to Batam, but a day filled with meaning.
11 April 2026.

We arrived in Batam thinking we were there to give—bringing supplies, gifts, and a little bit of our time. But somewhere between the laughter, the games, and the small hands reaching out to hold ours, we realized something unexpected… we were receiving so much more.

In their smiles, we found pure joy.
In their laughter, we felt something genuine and unfiltered.
And in those simple moments of connection, we were reminded that love doesn’t need language, and kindness doesn’t need much—just presence.

We may have only spent a few hours together, but the memories will stay with us far longer.
Grateful for every hug, every smile, every moment. 💛
