Our curated “Scientist for a Day” edition during the recent school holidays invites children from the community to explore the fascinating science behind everyday food through hands-on experiments centred around taste and gastronomy.
From churning butter and making cheese to discovering how proteins change as eggs are boiled, children uncovered the science hidden in the foods they enjoy. They will also witness how yeast inflates balloons through the process of fermentation, bringing scientific concepts to life through fun and interactive activities.
On Day 2, the adventure continues with a visit to Snow City Singapore, where our children learnt about winter environments and the science of sub-zero temperatures through engaging educational programmes and snow sports experiences. Through exploration and play, they gained a deeper appreciation of the wonders of science in both everyday life and extraordinary environments.

Our seniors from Block 50 Commonwealth Drive Active Ageing Centre embraced the outdoors with brisk walks, enjoyed the warmth of the sun, and the companionship of friends along the way. This guided tour provided our seniors with the opportunity to learn about the inhabitants of the neighbouring islands and their rich history, including stories from World War II. Active and independent, our seniors eagerly explored the sites, engaged with the historical narratives, and enjoyed a meaningful day of discovery together.

After an enriching morning of exploration and learning, our seniors gathered for a hearty lunch at the hawker centre, sharing good food, laughter, and companionship as they reflected on the day's experiences.

On 23 May 2026, more than 200 residents came together for FaithActs Makan Together event despite the weather. The morning was filled with music, laughter, and community spirit as seniors performed familiar tunes on the ukulele, residents sang along to popular songs, and children delighted the crowd with an energetic street dance performance. Staff and volunteers served food with warm hospitality, bringing everyone together in fellowship and friendship. The event concluded with a group photo, capturing the joyful memories and strong community bonds formed throughout the day.

Makan Together at Margaret Drive was held on 16 May 2026, bringing residents together for a morning filled with fun and laughter despite the rain. From children to senior performers, the warmth and joy of the community truly came alive through music, friendship, and shared moments.
Through care and compassion, we continue reaching out through our Active Ageing Centre services to support those in need, foster meaningful friendships, and build a thriving and connected community together.

Crafting Joy and Building Confidence in our seniors!

20 of our lovely seniors came together for a meaningful Punch Needle Workshop, where they created exquisite rose designs using rug and fabric materials.
Step by step, guided patiently by the trainer, each participant learned how to transform simple materials into a beautiful handcrafted piece they can proudly display at home.
More than just a craft session, this workshop brought smiles, laughter, and renewed confidence, especially for seniors who were once isolated and are now finding joy in community and friendship.
A special mention goes to Cindy, one of our active ACC seniors who regularly joins FaithActs programmes. With dedication, she stepped up to help fellow seniors board the bus safely and ensured everyone felt cared for.

Seeing our seniors engaged, empowered, and joyful truly fills our hearts with pride.
