Braddell Heights II Toastmasters Club (BH II TMC) is

a PUBLIC SPEAKING community-based club that upholds the spirit of Toastmasters International. By offering a friendly, encouraging, and conducive environment for our members who hail from all walks of life to practice and hone their COMMUNICATION SKILLS, we aspire to help each and every individual to speak with confidence, conviction and commitment. At the SAME time, our chapter meetings provide our members a comfortable platform, adequate speaking opportunities and various appointment roles to enhance our thinking and listening skills. We recognise that even a seasoned speaker still experiences the feeling of butterflies fluttering around in his/her stomach when facing a large crowd. Toastmasters International

Toastmasters International (TI) is a nonprofit educational organisation operating clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve COMMUNICATION, public speaking and LEADERSHIP SKILLS. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. A Toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success

Under the theme "Turning the Page", we celebrated some big moments:

✅ New members officially inducted into BH II - Joanne, Robin & Van
✅ New Executive Committee 2026/2027 installed
✅ Awards presented to deserving members

🎉 Highlights from the Division Y Achievers Day! 🎉

Division Y Achievers Day, held on 20 June, was a wonderful celebration of the achievements, dedication, and contributions of Toastmasters across the division. Braddell Heights II Toastmasters Club was proud to have several members recognized for their outstanding accomplishments.

Toastmasters Uppli Srinivasan and Michael Spencer Go, who served as Area Directors, were honored as the Most Dedicated Area Directors in recognition of their exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment throughout the term.

Toastmaster Michael Spencer Go and Toastmaster Shavini Wijesiri were also presented with the Triple Crown Award for completing three levels in their respective Pathways during the Toastmasters year.

Adding to the celebrations, Toastmaster Shavini Wijesiri had the opportunity to conduct a mini workshop as part of the Better Speaker Series, sharing insights to help fellow Toastmasters continue their speaking journey.

Congratulations to all our members on these well-deserved achievements! Your passion, dedication, and commitment continue to inspire our club and the wider Toastmasters community. Here's to many more milestones ahead! 👏✨

On 13 June, our Chapter Meeting embraced the theme "Final Lap", marking the final meeting of the current Executive Committee's term.

The meeting was filled with energy and learning, featuring four inspiring prepared speeches and an engaging Educational Table Topics session. Congratulations to TM Shavini for receiving the Best Prepared Speech award, while our visiting Toastmaster, TM Chitra from Tampines Changkat Toastmasters Club, was recognised as both the Best Table Topics Speaker and Best Evaluator.

A heartfelt thank you to all our visiting Toastmasters and everyone who participated in making the meeting a memorable one. Your enthusiasm and support made this final meeting of the term a meaningful conclusion, and we look forward to embarking on another exciting journey of learning and growth together.

✨ The Curiosity Quotient ✨

Our Chapter Meeting on 9th May was held under the inspiring theme, “The Curiosity Quotient.” The evening was filled with learning, creativity, and engaging conversations as members explored the power of curiosity in communication and personal growth.

The meeting featured 2 prepared speeches, each sharing unique perspectives and meaningful insights. The Table Topics segment was especially lively and entertaining, with participants showcasing their spontaneity and speaking skills.

✨ Together We Grow ✨

On 23rd May, we had a wonderful combined meeting between Braddell Heights II Toastmasters Club and Anchorvale Toastmasters Club — continuing a strong partnership that has grown over the years. After almost 3 years, this special meeting was once again hosted at Braddell Heights CC.

The meeting theme, “Together We Grow,” truly reflected the spirit of collaboration, learning, and friendship shared throughout the evening.

The session featured 6 inspiring prepared speeches, filled with meaningful stories and valuable lessons. Congratulations to Prabha for winning Best Prepared Speech with the Better Speaker Series Project 4: “Organising Your Speech.”

The Table Topics segment was equally exciting, with 10 participants showcasing their creativity and quick thinking. Congratulations to Benjamin from Anchorvale Toastmasters Club for winning Best Table Topic Speaker.

Congratulations as well to DTM Ramana for being awarded Best Evaluator for providing insightful and constructive feedback that encouraged speakers to grow and improve.

The meeting was a great success and a wonderful reminder of the friendships and connections built through Toastmasters. We sincerely thank all visiting members for joining us and look forward to many more collaborations together in the future. 💫
