From the first sketch to a finished print—see Chinese cultural ideas take shape on screen. 🎨

This video looks back at the digital art workshops jointly organised by China Cultural Centre in Singapore and TourBox on 23–25 October.

Artists and industry guests explored animation storytelling, 3D character creation and the changing role of creative tools. Public sessions then invited participants to reimagine Yunnan wamao, design panda characters, invent futuristic vehicles and draw good-luck symbols.

From a digital sketch to a print you can take home. 🎨

Chinese cultural motifs took on new forms at the digital art workshops jointly organised by China Cultural Centre in Singapore and TourBox.

At the guest session on 23 October, Bais shared insights into animation storytelling, while Derrick Song of 3dsense media school demonstrated the journey from concept to finished 3D game character. The discussion also explored how AI and new tools are changing creative practice.

Four public workshops on 24–25 October invited participants to reimagine Yunnan wamao, design panda characters, invent futuristic vehicles and create their own good-luck symbols. At the guest session, digital creations were printed on site—turning ideas on a screen into keepsakes to bring home.

What would a panda look like wearing a Sanxingdui-inspired mask? 🐼

Children aged 5–12 can find out in this art class by China Cultural Centre in Singapore and HIART. Through stories and drawing, they will explore Chengdu’s pandas and the bronze masks, sacred birds and patterns of ancient Shu, then create their own “Sanxingdui panda”.

Golden yellow, vivid pink and turquoise green—discover the many colours of Zibo glass. ✨

Radiant Splendor: The Artistry of Zibo Liuli (Glass) is now on show at the China Cultural Centre in Singapore. Curated by Bai Ming, the exhibition brings together more than 60 contemporary works, alongside images of historical artefacts.

From richly coloured vessels to delicate glass sunflowers, explore how traditional craftsmanship takes on new forms through colour and light.

Let your child's imagination travel from Chengdu to ancient Shu. In this art class by the China Cultural Centre in Singapore and HIART, children will explore bronze masks, sacred birds and ancient patterns, then use these ideas to create their own Sanxingdui-inspired panda.

Would Li Bai Be Afraid of AI? | 当诗仙李白遇见AI 📚

Can AI imitate a poet's style—and what makes a poem original?

On 10 October, more than 60 parents and students joined the seventh Children's Reading Salon and Duzhe Sharing Session at the China Cultural Centre in Singapore. Young readers explored AI-generated poetry, recited Li Bai's classic verses and debated the question with their parents.
