JS Cares Food Donation Drive – Community in Action
This morning, volunteers from JS Cares and students from Shuqun Primary School came together with a shared purpose. To support less privileged families in Jurong Spring through a food donation drive.
Set up at the heart of the neighbourhood, the team engaged residents and shoppers, inviting them to contribute essential groceries such as rice, oil, canned food and daily necessities. The response from the public was heartening, with many stepping forward to give generously.
What made the activity especially meaningful was the involvement of the young student volunteers. With enthusiasm and sincerity, they assisted in outreach, collection, and coordination, learning firsthand the values of compassion, service, and community responsibility.
This ground-up effort reflects how partnerships between community groups and schools can make a real difference. Through simple acts of giving, the community rallied together to bring care and support to families who need it most.
A meaningful morning of kindness, learning, and unity, truly showing that when a community comes together, small actions can create a big impact.
