At the end of 2015 march, Gu Gu, was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, now admitting at KK women and children Hospital, Singpore. He has been suffering from headaches and jaw pain with tumours in both kidneys and enlarged lymph nodes in his abdomen. He had emergency dialysis that night to save his kidneys.As u can imagine this has been quite a shock and heart breaking for our family as he used to b
e a very active and perfectly healthy little boy with sweet smile and heart. We have had our hands full of mulitiple hospitalizations for medical tests, many cycles of chemotheraphy and the complications due to treatments. He went into remmission after 6 cycles of chemo in August until last week. Gu Gu is now in pain and headaches with new swelling in his face. He is now awaiting his biopsy to be done and the doctors are planning to give him at least two more cycles of intensive chemotherapy in order to perform Bone Marrow Transplant this time. Gu Gu's parents from Myanmar are needing help to alleviate their financial stress as the medical expenses are costly and they cannot afford for the transplant while Gu Gu needs his treatment as soon as possible.
