🌟 BBE YN’s Workplan & Retreat is a wrap!

We took a moment to look back at everything we’ve achieved this past term (yes, we lowkey did a lot 👀), and then turned our eyes forward by mapping out the exciting road ahead for the next TWO years.

We were honoured to have our Grassroots Advisor, Mdm Rahayu, join us and share her vision for Bukit Batok East. Her words reminded us why we do what we do and that our youths are not just participants in the community, but builders of it. 🏗️💛

From brainstorming programmes to refreshing our initiatives, our BBE youths came together, voices were heard, and ideas flew! 🙌

And because no BBE gathering is complete without a little creativity... we ended the day with a Tingkat Painting session! Each of us walked away with our very own one-of-a-kind, hand-painted tingkat! 🎨🥡 No two are the same, just like us.

Here’s to a new chapter! One where BBE youths continue to show up, step up, and light up our community.

🌿✨ We had an amazing Sunday getting our hands dirty and letting our creativity bloom!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Terrarium Workshop. From carefully layering the soil to placing every little plant (and even an isopod!), it was wonderful to see everyone create their own unique miniature ecosystem. 🌱

At Bukit Batok East Youth Network, we believe community events can be more than just a fun way to spend the weekend. They’re opportunities to learn something new, connect with like-minded neighbours, and discover simple ways to make a positive impact in our everyday lives.

Whether it was learning about isopods (nature’s tiny cleanup crew) or discovering how every organism plays an important role in a healthy ecosystem, we hope everyone walked away with not just a terrarium, but a newfound appreciation for the little things that keep our environment thriving. 🌎💚

💻✨ From writing their very first lines of Python to exploring the possibilities of AI, our participants took their first steps into the world of coding!

At BBE Youth Network, we’re committed to creating more opportunities for the Bukit Batok East community to build digital skills and confidence for the future. We’re grateful to partner with Huawei Singapore and ITE to bring this meaningful AI and coding workshop to life.

Held in celebration of Huawei Singapore Huawei Singapore’s 25th anniversary in Singapore, the workshop supports Singapore’s National AI Strategy by making AI education more accessible and inspiring the next generation of multilingual AI talent.

A heartfelt thank you to Huawei Singapore, our dedicated ITE student volunteers, community partners, and everyone who joined us for making this workshop such a meaningful success! 💙🤖

🪲Looking for a fun, hands-on weekend activity? Join us at Bukit Batok East CC for an interactive Terrarium Workshop where you’ll get to create and take home your very own living mini-ecosystem—complete with terrestrial isopods!

📅 Date: Sunday, 19 July 2026
⏰ Sessions: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM OR 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
📍 Location: Bukit Batok East CC, Conference Room (Level 3)
💰 Price: Only $10 per terrarium set!

Note: A maximum of 2 persons can share 1 terrarium set (Perfect for a parent and child pairing! Please only register yourself and your child can come along.)
