Give A Home SG

Give A Home SG These dogs have been overlooked, but are the sweetest souls who make the best companions.

Give A Home Singapore is a platform where we share stories of rescue dogs who have been waiting a long time for a forever home, and have had little to no enquiries.

In our last video , we showed you the grit and heart it takes to care for street dogs. Today, we’re showing you the best part of the journey: bringing them home.

There’s a common myth that street dogs are “too wild” or “untrainable.” The reality? They make some of the most fiercely loyal, adaptable, and loving family members you could ever ask for.

Watch the video to see what life looks like when a street dog finally gets there forever. 🛋️❤️

These scenes are all too familiar to those in the local rescue community, but just not known or talked enough by the general public. We hope that you will help us share and spread the word about these animals, and please do reach out if you are able to foster or adopt.

As always, if there is anything you have always thought about doing for the animals, please don't hesitate any further. Feed that animal, post that story, rescue that cat or dog in need. Use your creativity and talents to contribute in whatever ways you always wanted to. Don't wait any further. There are so many of them out there, every little bit counts.

Churros is an ex-breeding dog who was estimated to be only about 4-6 years old when she was adopted by Anthea and her family. At that young age, she was already found to have cataract, arthritis and signs of infection in her uterus. While it breaks the hearts of her family to think about her past, they are thankful to have been able to give her a happy future.

We hope to continue to shed light on dogs like Churros who have been used for breeding in the pet industry in Singapore. Stories like hers are not unique, with most if not all of them found with lasting health issues from what they were used for. Behind every puppy sold in a pet store, is a dog like Churros.

4 year old Honey, an ex-breeding dog, was adopted by Jean () and her family through Purely Adoptions earlier this year. Though its only been a short period of time, both Honey's life and Jean's home has been deeply transformed.

We’re launching a new series to share real stories of ex-breeding dogs and the families who have welcomed them into their lives here in Singapore. Through these stories, we hope to shine a light on this often unseen part of our local dog community.

If you are, or know someone who has adopted a dog from a breeding facility, whether a retired breeding dog or one who fell out of the commercial system, we’d love to hear from you. Your story could help more people see what adoption can look like ☺️ Please do drop us a DM!
