Our 4S Active Ageing Centre seniors were delighted to be part of the Vesak Day celebrations and experience the warmth, hospitality and cultural sharing throughout the event.

Thank you to our community partners for the invitation. It is always a pleasure to be part of celebrations like these, where people from different walks of life come together to learn, connect and celebrate as one community.

💙 Healthy ageing is about more than health; it’s about staying connected, engaged and empowered.

Our 4S seniors and beneficiaries from Bukit Batok Home for the Aged, Thuja Home and 4S Active Ageing Centre recently participated in NHG Healthiverse 2026, where they explored interactive games, adaptive sports and informative health booths on topics such as nutrition, gut health and preventive care.

From strengthening coordination and confidence to building social connections and learning new ways to care for their well-being, the experience was a meaningful reminder that every stage of life can be lived actively and purposefully.

Here’s to adding not just years to life, but life to years, and supporting the vision of 15 million more years of healthy life for our communities.

If their smiles, focus, and quiet pride could speak, we imagine they might say something like this.

Because beyond the final artwork, programmes like these give residents something deeper; moments of connection, creativity, accomplishment, and something meaningful to look forward to.

For some residents, it may have been a long time since they last learnt something new, explored outdoors, or proudly held up something they created with their own hands.

These moments may seem small, but they bring comfort, stimulation, and meaningful engagement into residents’ daily lives.

Through donor and sponsor support, we hope to continue creating more meaningful programmes like these for seniors and individuals under our care with little or no one else to rely on. Because for many, our Welfare Homes are more than a place to stay, it is home.

Not every act of care is remembered, but every one is felt.

Before the world wakes, and long after it rests.. you are there.

This International Nurses Day, we honour our nurses at 4S, and nurses everywhere, who show up not just with skill, but with heart. In the routines, the long shifts, and the in-between moments no one sees, you bring comfort, dignity, and steadiness to those who need it most.

This is an appreciation for those who do more than care for people; who carry them through moments they cannot carry alone.
