At first glance, it looks like a game. 🎮

But every illuminated tile has a purpose. Sometimes, the best technology doesn’t take centre stage, it simply helps people move forward.

What looks like a game is actually interactive rehabilitation designed to build strength, improve balance and coordination, and grow confidence through every step.

At Tembusu Home and across 4S facilities, technology becomes another way we support residents & beneficiaries to stay active, engaged and independent.

Small steps. Meaningful progress.

We were honoured to welcome Speaker Seah Kian Peng to 4S Active Ageing Centre @ Eunos Crescent. 💙

The visit offered an opportunity for him to meet our seniors, experience the warmth of the centre and hear more about how 4S supports seniors to stay active, connected and engaged within the community.

Ms Adeline, Senior Centre Manager of 4S AAC also shared more about the work of the AAC, including our programmes, outreach efforts and how the role the centre continues to play in supporting seniors as they age in place.

We are grateful for the meaningful conversations and the opportunity to share more about the people and community we serve.

We are grateful to call home a nation that continues to create opportunities, build supportive communities and strengthen pathways for seniors and individuals who may need a little more care along the way.

At 4S, we are privileged to support our seniors and beneficiaries as they continue exploring, connecting and creating meaningful memories in the country they call home.

Kindness doesn’t always come in grand gestures. Sometimes, it begins with a handwritten note. 💌

As part of Chingay’s Postcard Wishes initiative, seniors from our Active Ageing Centre penned heartfelt messages of appreciation and encouragement in support of Chingay Parade Singapore; a celebration that has been bringing people together through multiculturalism, unity and community since 1973.

Every postcard reflects a simple but meaningful act of care. Through a few thoughtful words, our seniors shared their gratitude, encouragement and well wishes with the performers and everyone who helps keep this beloved Singapore tradition alive.

Because sometimes, the smallest gestures leave the biggest impact.

Thank you, Chingay Parade Singapore (Chingay Parade SG), for inviting our seniors to be part of this meaningful initiative.

Sometimes, what we harvest goes beyond what grows in the garden 🌱

Residents from 4S Bukit Batok Home for the Aged joined students from Dunearn Secondary School for a vegetable-harvesting session, working side by side as they gathered produce from the school garden.

Through this simple shared activity, both generations had the opportunity to connect, collaborate and learn from one another. For the students, it was a chance to cultivate empathy, communication and teamwork. For our residents, it brought meaningful interactions, a sense of purpose, and the joy of contributing alongside the younger generation.

As Singapore prepares to celebrate National Day, moments like these remind us that strong communities are nurtured through the connections we build across generations. After all, it is the many hands, hearts and generations that help our community grow stronger together.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲. ❤️

For many of our seniors, 4S Eldercare Centre is more than a place to receive care. It’s where friendships are built, routines are formed, rehabilitation happens, and every day brings an opportunity to stay active and connected.

Over the years, our services have grown to support more seniors requiring day care, dementia care and active rehabilitation. As their needs continue to evolve, we believe their environment should evolve too.

That’s why we’re embarking on our ‘𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲’ 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻; a $𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 to create a larger, purpose-built ground-floor Eldercare Centre designed to better support seniors at every stage of ageing.

The new centre will feature:
✨ Wider, more accessible walkways
✨ Dedicated rehabilitation spaces
✨ Dementia-friendly design
✨ Improved accessibility and wayfinding
✨ A welcoming environment where more seniors can move, connect and thrive

Meet 𝙈𝙧 𝙎𝙃, 77, who attends our centre five days a week for rehabilitation and day care. Like many of our seniors, he inspires us with his determination to keep moving every day. We hope to create a space that better supports that journey; one where seniors can enjoy greater confidence, independence and opportunities to live well.

Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality.
