🌏 SIGEP Asia & Restaurant Asia 2026 Returns to Singapore

From 15–17 July 2026, Singapore will host one of the most important gatherings for the global foodservice and hospitality industry: SIGEP Asia & Restaurant ASIA 2026, taking place at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.

Now in its third edition, the event continues to expand as a strategic platform connecting chefs, suppliers, operators, and investors across the F&B and Ho.Re.Ca. ecosystem. With Southeast Asia’s rapidly growing market and increasing demand for premium and innovative food experiences, SIGEP Asia plays a critical role in shaping the industry’s future.

This year’s programme will feature a dynamic mix of international competitions, industry congresses, masterclasses, and innovation showcases, including:

🔺 Gelato World Cup Asia Selection
🔺 Bakery World Cup Asia Selection – Bread in the City
🔺 UIBC Congress 2026 bringing together global bakery leaders
🔺 Singapore National Coffee Championship celebrating barista excellence
🔺 Dedicated pavilions for technology, chocolate, nightlife, and innovation

A key highlight will be the 3rd IFBA Roundtable, organised by the International Food & Beverage Association in collaboration with the Hospitality Alliance Singapore.

This year’s discussion addresses a major structural shift facing the industry:

🔖“From Globalisation to a Multipolar Reality – How Economics, Supply Chains, Technology, and Consumer Behaviour Are Reshaping Hospitality & F&B.”

Bringing together chefs, suppliers, operators, and industry leaders, the roundtable will focus on practical dialogue around supply chain resilience, evolving consumer expectations, technology adoption, and new leadership models required in today’s complex global environment.

📍 A Landmark Moment for Indonesian Hospitality

🌐 The International Food and Beverage Association extends its congratulations to the Indonesian Food & Beverage Executive Association (IFBEC) on the successful inauguration of its Central Java Chapter, alongside the excellent ex*****on of the Mixology Competition 2026 in Semarang.

This milestone reflects a meaningful step forward in strengthening professional standards, developing industry capabilities and hospitality ecosystem in Indonesia.

🇮🇩 The establishment of the Central Java Chapter highlights IFBEC’s continued commitment to expanding professional platforms across the country, under the leadership of I Ketut Darmayasa, President of IFBEC, whose vision continues to drive the organisation’s national growth and industry impact.

🙌 The success of the event was further supported by the contributions of industry leaders and partners, including Teguh Firmanto, Chairman of IFBEC Central Java; Andi Susanto, Secretary General of IFBEC Central Java; as well as respected industry figures such as Ashok Khumar (PHRI Banten) and Zainul Bahar (IFBEC Banten), reflecting the strong collaborative spirit across the sector.

What stands out is the strong alignment between vision and ex*****on. By combining a formal chapter launch with a high-quality competition, IFBEC has demonstrated a progressive approach to industry development—placing technical excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement at the centre.

👏 As noted by Cheong Hai Poh, President of IFBA:

“Indonesia is setting a strong example for the region. Building structured platforms, investing in talent, and expanding reach are exactly what drive an industry forward. When professional development and talent growth are advanced together, it creates lasting impact.”

🔺IFBEC’s expansion across regions demonstrates a clear commitment to inclusivity and national industry development—ensuring that growth is not concentrated in a single city, but shared across Indonesia’s diverse hospitality landscape.

At IFBA, we believe the future of hospitality depends on collaboration, shared standards, and continuous development. The Central Java initiative reflects these principles and serves as a strong model for industry progress.

〽️ We look forward to strengthening collaboration with IFBEC and supporting Indonesia’s continued growth within the global food and beverage and hospitality community.

🇵🇭 Tasting Cebu’s Potential: A Strong Step Forward for Philippine Hospitality

At IFBA, we believe that the future of global hospitality lies in authentic local stories with global potential — and our recent visit to Cebu, Philippines reinforced exactly that.

From vibrant culinary heritage to a growing community of passionate hospitality professionals, represents one of Southeast Asia’s most promising emerging destinations. Our visit marked an important milestone as we welcomed The Chocolate Chamber as a Global Corporate Member — a concept that beautifully combines craftsmanship, storytelling, and innovation rooted in Philippine .

What stood out most was not just the quality of the product, but the depth of talent, cultural identity, and ambition within the local ecosystem. Experiences like the Casa de Cacao tour highlighted how ingredients and traditions can be elevated to meet global standards while maintaining authenticity.

This visit is more than symbolic — it reflects IFBA’s long-term commitment to:

🔺Expanding international collaboration between Asia and global markets
🔺Supporting culinary knowledge exchange and professional development
🔺Showcasing Filipino ingredients and craftsmanship on the global stage
🔺Building meaningful partnerships across hospitality ecosystems

Looking ahead, we see strong opportunities for chef exchanges, international collaborations, culinary tourism development, and global showcases that position Cebu — and the Philippines — as a recognised force in the global &B landscape.

The Philippines has the talent, the heritage, and the ingredients.
Now is the time for the world to take notice.

The Chocolate Chamber: Advancing Filipino Cacao Heritage Internationally

🔺The Chocolate Chamber continues to advance a heritage-driven platform for Filipino cacao, bringing together craft, education, and cultural diplomacy through immersive experiences built for international audiences and industry stakeholders—creating meaningful points of connection while keeping cacao heritage at the centre of every engagement.

〽️ As part of this wider momentum, the IFBA had the pleasure of convening a high-level leadership dialogue with The Chocolate Chamber—bringing together International Food & Beverage Association 's President & Founder Hai Poh Cheong with Raquel Toquero-Choa, Chief Executive Officer, The Chocolate Chamber and Eduardo Pantino, Managing Partner, The Chocolate Chamber; Cacao Educator at Atlas Restaurant and Bar. The discussion focused on The Chocolate Chamber’s journey, its expanding international footprint, and the importance of presenting Filipino cacao through immersive, education-driven experiences.

🪾 The Chocolate Heritage Trunk Show travelled across key US cities—including New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Utah—and the trip also delivered a strategic milestone: the formal registration of The Chocolate Chamber LLC in Los Angeles, complementing its existing registration as The Chocolate Chamber Pte Ltd in , as planning continues toward 2026 initiatives.

🔻 What stood out throughout the US engagements was the strength of the programme design. Guests experienced The Chocolate Chamber’s signature tablea, artisanal bars, and cacao-infused creations—offering a vivid entry point into chocolate tradition while showing how heritage can be expressed in contemporary formats.

🍫 Audiences were also captivated by the “Beyond Chocolate” artworks of cacao artist John Paul, which celebrated the creative possibilities of Philippine cacao beyond traditional forms

Adding further depth to the experience was the Cacao Soirée, a beyond-chocolate dinner held in Utah in collaboration with Taste 117 Chocolate and Aspenwood Manor. Conceived in response to recent earthquakes and floods, the soirée rallied support for farmer-members of the FCCT Cooperative, underscoring The Chocolate Chamber’s belief that chocolate can serve both as a cultural expression and a vehicle for social good.

🔺 From IFBA’s perspective, the priority now is turning tour momentum into sustained partnerships and scalable programmes that protect authenticity and the communities behind the story. The Chocolate Queen
