[🏡 More Than New Homes: One Year of Tengah CCC]
A year ago, Tengah CCC started with just 16 members.
Today, we're 40.
In that same year, we've also grown from just 2 Grassroots Organisations (GROs) to 11.
Looking at this photo, I found myself thinking about how much has changed over the past year.
Not just the numbers.
Many of us around this table didn't know one another very well when we first started. Today, we're planning community events together, visiting residents together, discussing feedback together and, every now and then, figuring out how to solve problems together too.
Most residents won't know everyone in this photo. But you've probably met someone here at a house visit, spoken to them at a community event, or seen them helping out somewhere around Tengah.
That's really what grassroots work is about. Not being in the spotlight, but quietly making things happen.
A special thank you to Patrick, our CCC Chairman, for his steady leadership over the past year, and to every member of the CCC, our grassroots leaders, volunteers and community partners for everything you've contributed to Tengah.
Tengah is still a very young town.
There'll be many more ideas to discuss, many more challenges to solve, and hopefully many more residents who will come forward to be part of this growing community.
We're just getting started.
