For years, Suit Fong wondered what the future would look like for her son Sean.

Would he be able to work? Become more independent? Find his place in the world?

Then, at 29, Sean took on his first micro-job through Kopi Teh Makan, a vocational programme creating micro-job opportunities for youths with special needs. He surprised everyone.

And one day, he asked his mother: “Mummy, are you proud of me?”

For Suit Fong, that moment brought something she had spent years hoping for: Assurance. Their story became our short film, Assurance, which has now reached the semi-finals of the Inspiring Asia Film Awards.

If it wins, S$10,000 will go towards supporting Kopi Teh Makan, helping create more opportunities for youths with special needs like Sean.

8 after launching our 4-part docu-series, we have some incredible news to share: the final chapter, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, has been shortlisted for the semi-finals of the Inspiring Asia Film Awards!

The chapter follows Sean, a 29-year-old with autism, through the eyes of his mother, Suit Fong.

For years, she worried about what life after school might look like for him. Then Sean joined Kopi Teh Makan, Ray of Hope's vocational programme for youths with autism, and took on his first micro-job.

He surprised his family. He surprised the people around him. And, perhaps most importantly, he began to see what he was capable of too.

𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 captures what can happen when someone is given the time to learn, contribute, and be taken seriously.

For Sean, it has meant growing confidence and greater independence.

For Suit Fong, it has brought something every parent hopes for -- reassurance that her son can find his place in the world.

Many of you stood with Baby Ginny and Baby Faziq earlier this year.

Today, we are asking the community to come together once more for nine-month-old Matthias, whose parents have only a few months to raise S$2.4 million for the treatment recommended by his doctors.

Following our evening of prayer and remembrance at Lengkok Bahru, many residents have reached out asking how they can support the family affected by this tragedy.

We had a wonderful time at a cozy learning session diving into the incredible work done by Ray of Hope! 🌟

On Saturday, we gathered for an afternoon centred on one idea: women supporting women.

What followed was an honest conversation about solidarity and the strength of community. Two moments stayed with us:

Ms Elysa Chen reminded us that to truly understand what women and caregivers need, we have to ask them one simple question: “Anything else?”

And when someone says “I’m fine” — don’t accept it. Because so often, the hardest part isn’t the struggle itself. It’s feeling like you’re not allowed to ask for help.

More than $5 million was raised in the first few months of 2026.

It is a number we are deeply grateful for, but the real weight of it is felt in the stories it made possible.

In a child who could continue school without another disruption. In a migrant brother who received help at a point when things felt especially heavy. In a baby whose family could focus on treatment, instead of carrying the full cost alone.

This is what crowdfunding can do.

It turns individual acts of giving into something larger. One person gives what they can. Another shares the page. Someone else tells a friend. And slowly, help begins to take shape.
