Braddell Estate Neighbourhood Committee aims to promote active citizenry, encourage active participation and fostering community bonds amongst residents in private housing estates. Braddell Estate Neighbourhood covers all landed properties and private condominiums within the boundary of Braddell Road/Upper Serangoon Road/BoundaryRoad/Lorong Chuan. ms to encourage active participation and build stronger community bonds within the Braddell Estate private estate. BENC also works with various government agencies to improve the social and physical landscape in the estate. BENC strives to:
- Promote neighbourliness and harmony within the estates through various activities
- Allow residents to socialise and get to know each other better
- Nurture close-knit neighbourhoods where residents form bonds and engage in activities together
- Communicate residents’ needs and their thoughts on government policies to relevant government bodies

Volunteers are the backbone of every NC and their contributions are vital to the success of its activities. Meet your neighbours, organise and participate in enriching programmes and activities, and make your neighbourhood a conducive and close-knit one! I believe this could be a first in Singapore - in our latest Active Ageing Centre (AAC) set up by PCF Sparklecare at Blk 319, there is a golf simulator set for seniors to enjoy. This is amongst a host of other things and activities that this AAC has and organises, after taking into account seniors feedback.

From darts, free coffee, claw machine, exercises , singing, talks, sake appreciation … come down and check out this AAC continently located at void deck of Blk 319, Serangoon Ave 2. Open from Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm), let them know what interests you and they will see what can be done. I call this a club in the heartlands for our seniors and it is free to all to access.

Dear pet owners

Please be more responsible. There are some of you (or your pet handlers) who have been causing a lot of disamenities to some parts of our estate and on a regular basis.

It is not fair to the residents staying at these places where your pet (mostly dogs) leaves their p*e / poo in this public spaces and in some cases are the void decks of their home/ blocks. If these happen, please do the responsible thing and clean them up. It is also not fair to our cleaners to constantly have to clean up the mess left by your pets.

As a pet owner myself, we love our pets and also have to be responsible pet owners looking after them and also be considerate to our community and fellow residents and neighbours.

If we catch anyone in the act and not doing the right thing, we will take action. For those who know people who are doing these irresponsible acts, please share the info with us for us to take action. I hope these are not necessary but having tried various means, patience of residents and our town council is running thin.

Let us all do our part - a little kindness and consideration goes a long way as we all work together to build a more caring, compassionate and neighbourly community.
