💙 From Community Nursing Post to Quarterly Health Day

What began as a Community Nursing Post by Care for the Elderly Foundation Singapore, offering free cognitive, functional and psychosocial assessments for seniors, has evolved into a broader Quarterly Health Day at Lucky Haven.

This quarter, Antica Community Development & Services, supported by Antica Foundation, brought together partners to complement the health assessments:
✨ CareCam – AI-powered frailty monitoring to support proactive ageing at home
✨ Seamless – Portable sensory assessment technology for convenient sensory screenings

By bringing healthcare, technology and community partners together, we're making support services more accessible and helping seniors stay active, independent and connected.

Thank you to CEF, CareCam and Seamless for partnering with us on this journey towards healthier ageing and stronger communities. 💙

Starting our 6 week digital literacy journey together 💛

Our seniors at Lucky Haven are beginning a new digital literacy programme with students from Singapore University of Social Sciences, where they will learn practical everyday skills such as:
📍 Using Google Maps
📱 Setting emergency contacts
💬 Navigating smartphone features
✨ And much more

More than just learning about technology, this programme is also about building meaningful intergenerational friendships and creating a space where seniors and youths can connect, share experiences, and learn together.

We are excited for the journey ahead 💙

A meaningful day out with our seniors at River Wonders 🐼🌿

Our seniors from Lucky Haven spent the day exploring nature, sharing conversations, and creating joyful memories together with corporate volunteers and volunteers who have supported our outreach and community programmes over time.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who generously gave their time and energy to accompany and engage our seniors throughout the excursion. Your presence and kindness made the experience even more meaningful.

A special thank you as well to Mandai Wildlife Reserve for the warm hospitality and support in making the outing enjoyable and memorable for our seniors.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection, inclusion, and active ageing within the community ❤️

A simple lunch, heartfelt conversations, and carnations shared with love. 🌸💛

This Mother’s Day, our seniors at Lucky Haven came together for a warm and meaningful celebration filled with laughter, appreciation, and community spirit.

We celebrated the mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and strong women who have spent their lives caring for others and continue to inspire those around them every day.

Sometimes, the smallest gestures can mean the most. ✨

What started as a participant’s journey has come full circle 💙

Dr Tan, a senior himself, first joined us at Lucky Haven through the Silver Strides initiative, where he actively participated in marathon workshops held at the centre. Today, that very same space has transformed into his Gen AI classroom, where he now gives back as a volunteer to fellow seniors 🤖✨

Our seniors had the opportunity to explore the world of AI with curiosity and openness, but beyond the learning, what stood out most was the spirit of giving back. Dr Tan’s journey is a powerful reflection of how seniors can stay active, engaged and purposeful through volunteering.

His story is a reminder that seniors are not just beneficiaries, but contributors and changemakers in the community. Active ageing is not only about participation, it is about purpose 💙
