Lucky Haven was filled with red, white and plenty of National Day cheer! ❤️🤍

Our seniors came together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday with familiar National Day songs, delicious food and joyful moments shared with friends and neighbours.

We were honoured to welcome our Guest of Honour, Mr Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State at the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Ministry of Manpower. Mr Dinesh also serves as Mayor of South East District and Adviser to East Coast GRC Grassroots Organisations (Bedok), making his presence especially meaningful to our Bedok community.

From singing familiar favourites to enjoying a meal together, the celebration was a wonderful reminder that the Singapore spirit lives in the connections we build and the care we show one another.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the occasion so memorable for our seniors.

A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful volunteers at Lucky Haven Senior Activity Centre! ❤️

Through your time, energy and genuine care, you bring warmth and smiles to our seniors and programme attendees. Whether you are supporting an activity, sharing a conversation or simply lending a helping hand, your presence makes each session more enjoyable and meaningful.

Our attendees look forward to seeing you, while our Care Staff deeply appreciate the support you provide. Every contribution, big or small, helps create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and included.

This is the kampung spirit in action. Neighbours looking out for one another and coming together to build a stronger, more caring community.

Thank you for showing us the difference active volunteerism can make. We are grateful to have you as part of the Lucky Haven family! 🌟

A meaningful start to our Project GUARDIAN journey with MINDS .

We recently visited the first two households identified for the programme and followed up with the installation of Project GUARDIAN for MINDS’ clients.

Through non-intrusive fall detection and overall wellness monitoring, Project GUARDIAN aims to provide greater peace of mind for persons with intellectual disabilities and their families, while supporting safer and more independent living at home.

This marks an important step in extending inclusive care and support beyond seniors, as we continue working with partners to build a more caring and inclusive community for all.

More installations to come as we continue this meaningful collaboration with MINDS.

Project GUARDIAN is heading to Siglap CC!

Spearheaded by students from Singapore University of Social Sciences, this booth brings together thoughtful materials preparation, live product demonstrations and simple explanations on how smart fall detection and instant alerts can support seniors and caregivers.

Drop by to learn how non intrusive eldercare technology can help seniors live safer and more independently, while giving caregivers greater peace of mind.

💙 Movement, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Over the past few weeks, students from Singapore University of Social Sciences module NIE301 have been spending time with seniors at Lucky Haven, encouraging them to stay active through simple exercises, games, and interactive activities.

Beyond getting seniors up on their feet, these sessions created opportunities for conversations, friendships, and shared learning across generations. It was heartening to see students and seniors alike stepping out of their comfort zones, supporting one another, and having fun together.

A big thank you to the SUSS students for bringing their energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to our community. Together, we're building stronger connections and creating meaningful experiences that promote active ageing and social wellbeing. 💙

A meaningful day out with our seniors at River Wonders 🐼🌿

Our seniors from Lucky Haven spent the day exploring nature, sharing conversations, and creating joyful memories together with corporate volunteers and volunteers who have supported our outreach and community programmes over time.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who generously gave their time and energy to accompany and engage our seniors throughout the excursion. Your presence and kindness made the experience even more meaningful.

A special thank you as well to Mandai Wildlife Reserve for the warm hospitality and support in making the outing enjoyable and memorable for our seniors.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection, inclusion, and active ageing within the community ❤️
