A night of celebration, camaraderie and giving back to the community.
Members and partners of the Singapore Motor Tyre Dealers Association (SMTDA) came together on 8 March 2026 at Orchard Hotel Singapore for the SMTDA Annual Gala Dinner, celebrating the strong bonds that unite the tyre industry.

The evening was graced by our Special Guest, Mr Ng Xi Xuan (MP for the Sembawang GRC), whose presence added to the significance of the occasion.
The night was filled with lively conversations, laughter and warm fellowship as tyre dealers, partners and friends of the industry gathered to reconnect and strengthen relationships within our community.

A meaningful highlight of the evening was the presentation of SMTDA Education Grant Awards to students from qualified families, reaffirming SMTDA’s commitment to supporting education and giving back to the community.
SMTDA would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our generous sponsors whose monetary contributions made this memorable evening possible. Your support not only helped bring the industry together but also enables meaningful initiatives such as the SMTDA Education Grant Awards.

From the festive lion dance performance to the many joyful moments shared among members, the evening truly reflected the unity and spirit of the tyre industry.

Tyre Technical Workshop for SMTDA Members

A productive and insightful session for members of the Singapore Motor Tyre Dealers Association (SMTDA) at our recent Tyre Technical Workshop conducted on 8th March 26, Sunday.

The workshop covered key industry topics including the latest EV tyre technology, technical insights, and evolving requirements for tyres designed for electric vehicles. It was a valuable opportunity for members to stay updated with the rapid changes in the automotive landscape.

Stop checking manufacturing dates like you're buying groceries!
We've all done it—reaching for the "freshest" milk, checking banana ripeness, hunting for the latest expiry dates. But applying this grocery store logic to tires? That's a misconception!
🔬 THE SCIENCE IS CLEAR
Korea Study: Zero performance difference between new tires and 3-year-old stored tires in safety tests.
Germany Research: Identical braking performance between fresh and 3-year stored tires.
Saudi Arabia Findings: 1 year of driving = 10 years of storage aging!
🎯 HERE'S THE TRUTH
Bananas: Start rotting immediately after harvest
Tires: Only age when installed and used on vehicles
Before installation, tires sit safely in controlled storage—uninflated, unloaded, and stable for years.
