The Singapore Hospice Council (SHC), established in 1995, is a registered charity and an umbrella body representing organisations that actively provide hospice and palliative care in Singapore. SHC is committed to improving the lives of patients with serious illnesses and giving support to the loved ones of these patients. It aims to coordinate and promote hospice and palliative care in Singapore; to support the training of doctors, nurses, allied-health workers, caregivers, and volunteers; to improve on the quality of palliative care; and to raise public awareness. It acts as the voice of hospice and palliative care within Singapore and internationally.

At the Opening Ceremony of the Live Well. Leave Well. Festival 2026 at Suntec City Atrium, we celebrated our new Compassionate Communities Singapore stakeholders and the partners whose generous support helped make the Festival possible. 💛

Their support reflects a shared belief that palliative care is everyone’s business. With more organisations lending their voices and support, we can encourage earlier conversations about care and build communities where patients and families feel supported through the end of life.

This World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, let’s build on the conversations we’ve started and continue raising awareness of the importance of hospice and palliative care. 💜

Our Suntec City Atrium roadshow brought these conversations closer to the community, welcoming visitors to explore palliative care, connect with others and reflect on what living well and leaving well means to them.

There’s still more to learn and experience through the Live Well. Leave Well. Festival, with a month-long line-up of talks, webinars and workshops running till 1 Nov. We hope you’ll join us in continuing these conversations and gaining practical knowledge that can make a difference.

What a wonderful evening at Voices for Hospices 2026: Jimmy Ye & Friends For Good Charity Concert! ❤️
