Mercylight Animal Rescue And Sanctuary Limited is a Singaporean animal welfare charity run by a group of animal lovers who have a strong desire to care for the animals, by helping them find the right homes. Our mission is to improve the quality of lives of stray dogs through rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing them; to increase public awareness and acceptance of stray dogs as companion animals an

d that they deserved to be treated with compassion and kindness. The more viral it goes, the higher chance these lovely animals will find their homes. Note:

Meet Ardon, our resident chocolate boy who loves to show his love by cobbing volunteers (swipe to see!). He’s shy but affectionate once he gets to know you. Ardon walks very well and is food motivated as well!

She was rescued as a puppy from a hill site.
Her name means strength and she has grown up to be a beautiful and strong girl.
Bree is a very gentle and demure girl. She warms up easily to humans and she gets along well with oh her dogs.

She has unique black and white spots and shades that make her oh, so adorable!
Bree is looking for her forever home and she will be a great addition to your family.

Summer is aptly named for her love of sunny weather and outdoor walks!



Summer has spent almost her entire life in our shelter since she was rescued at just 9 months old. Now at 12 years of age, she is often passed over for younger dogs but she still has the energy of a puppy! She loves to play and go out on adventures - Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa - you name the place and she's up for it! She also has a healthy appetite and can be easily bribed 🤭

🚨 We need your help to get a new air cooler! 🚨

Due to the recent hot weather and the breaking down of our old air cooler, we are in need of funds to purchase a new air cooler to help keep our shelter dogs cool and comfortable. 🥵☀️

The recent temperatures have peaked at 36°C which is greatly affecting our dogs. Furthermore, the high temperatures and humidity increases the transmission chances of illnesses like kennel cough.

We need $425 to fund the purchase, and all donations, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and immensely helpful.

Meet Layla, a sweet girl who is just so easy to love!

Layla is estimated to be 4, and would be an amazing family dog or for first time owners. Easygoing, she enjoys pets and isn’t shy to ask for some. She walks calmly and enjoys food. A friend of all, she gets along well with other dogs. Layla certainly has her quirky side too, playing along with other dogs and sometimes “scolding” them with her disproportionately loud bark. (She is usually so quiet!)

Rescued from a caged dog situation, she is still so loving and friendly towards humans. Her petite SS size makes her HDB Approved!

From a tiny puppy taking his first steps in the shelter, to the cheerful young dog he is today, Leo has spent his entire life waiting for a family of his own.

This video shows just how much he has grown over the past year. Through it all, Leo has remained a happy, friendly boy who loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and never turns down a tasty treat.

At just over a year old, Leo still has the playful spirit of a puppy and a lifetime of love to give. He is food-motivated, eager to learn, and will flourish with patient guidance and consistent training.

While many dogs have come and gone, Leo is still waiting for his chance.

Waiting for his first home.
Waiting for his own family.
Waiting for someone to choose him.

Leo is HDB-approved and ready to begin the next chapter of his life.

Today’s pawdel is Haven Gal!



Haven was rescued back in 2015 and was emaciated and confined in a small area without any food, water or shelter provided. She was never around other dogs so she’s really cautious around them. She’s also very slow to warm up to new faces but does very well with consistency!

Haven Gal can be very protective of her food because she has been starved a long time so respecting her boundaries is very important. Though estimated to be 12 this year, Haven is still very playful and loves her toys! She’s a dog that needs a lot of understanding and patience, and we’re hoping that someone would be able to open their heart to her.

Hello! Are you looking for me? Let’s go for our walk!

Excited for her morning walk today is Olive Blessing.
Olive was rescued from a forested area next to the canal.
Her name means peace.
She is a fearless dog. When she first arrived at the shelter, she could sleep comfortably among the dogs on her first night.
She is also very intelligent and outgoing.

This gorgeous girl has beautiful golden brown fur coat and a pair of dazzling eyes that will melt your heart instantly.
She’s looking for her forever home and she will be a great addition to your family.
She understands basic commands and with her intelligence, she is capable of many more with proper training and guidance.
You will be pleased to know that she is also HDB-approved. Yay!

Look into Cosmos' eyes and you'll discover an entire universe of love!



At just 2 years old, Cosmos is the perfect age to bond with a good family. Despite his svelte figure, he really, really, really loves his food so it's very easy to gain his affection and train. He has a playful side to him and gets along with other dogs as well.
