How do we protect truth in times of war and crisis, when convincing AI-generated images, videos, and audio can be created and shared within minutes?
This question was at the heart of today’s panel discussion, “Truth under Fire: Hybrid Warfare and the Battle for Public Trust,” organised by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s Media Programme Asia.
Together with experts from academia, journalism, and fact-checking, we explored how states and other players weaponize information, how journalists verify facts inside the AI “fog of war,” and what societies can do to strengthen resilience against increasingly sophisticated forms of digital manipulation.
A heartfelt thank you to our panellists jianchong, abhilash_mallick, Rorie Fajardo-Jarilla, and Peter Martell, as well as to our moderator, Regine Cabato, for an engaging and timely discussion.
