That's a wrap on ITAP 2026!

Over the past two days, our relaunch edition in partnership with Deutsche Messe has laid a powerful foundation—bringing together government, industry, and research around the shift from AI ambition to factory ex*****on, and concluding with a deep dive into advanced materials and autonomous operations at the NAMIC Global Additive Manufacturing Summit. 2026 was a preview.

2027 is the full-scale experience.

The next chapter of industrial transformation starts here. ITAP returns from 20–22 July 2027 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, expanding into a larger 3-day, 3-hall (15,000 sqm) experience to bring manufacturing, automation, intralogistics, and supply-chain innovation together under one roof.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗧𝗔𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 marked an exciting new chapter as the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) and Deutsche Messe officially launched this year's edition under our joint partnership, setting a clear path from AI ambition to factory ex*****on.

In conjunction with 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, SMF organised its Mental Wellness Day on 9 October 2026, bringing colleagues together for a meaningful afternoon of creativity, reflection and connection.

Through drawing and air-dry clay activities, colleagues were encouraged to reflect on happy memories, think about their loved ones, and reconnect with the people, experiences and moments that bring them a sense of calm, comfort and happiness.

The session was a gentle reminder that caring for our mental wellness starts with making time for ourselves. Amid our busy schedules and daily responsibilities, taking a moment to slow down, express ourselves creatively and appreciate what brings us joy can help us recharge and find balance.

As we mark World Mental Health Day, let’s continue to prioritise mental well-being, look out for one another and foster a supportive workplace where everyone feels cared for. 💚

🔥 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁: Making hundreds of choices every day drains your mental battery. By late afternoon, evaluating risks clearly or thinking strategically becomes significantly harder. Many business owners feel they must always appear strong and never admit when they are struggling.

❤️‍🩹 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮, 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳: Past crises like supply chain collapses, fractured business relationships or financial losses leave psychological scars. Without proper recovery, neglected past traumas can trigger a behaviour that overrides intellectual awareness - a compulsion to re-enact similar crises to 'fix' past outcomes. It also drives self-preservation habits to protect us from emotional pain: becoming hyper-vigilant, overestimating minor risks, micromanaging, preemptive conflict, avoiding pressing problems or freezing when faced with new opportunities.

🏋🏻‍♀️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲: When expectations aren't met, our brain naturally default to shame—one of the most ancient, primitive human emotional instinct designed to shield us from perceived negative social judgment. The urge for self-preservation often leads to hiding setbacks, downplaying operational reality, and postponing support until a manageable issue escalates into a systemic crisis.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴:

Eugene Yoo is the Vice President of APAC Reconstruction and Digital Technology Solutions at Zimmer Biomet, bringing extensive leadership experience across the medical technology and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining Zimmer Biomet, he spent over a decade holding senior regional and country-level leadership roles across the Asia-Pacific region in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare—specializing in orthopedics, oncology, and vision care.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Eugene is actively involved in industry governance and ecosystem development, sitting on the Executive Committee of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) and chairing its Youth Network Function Committee, alongside his role as Chairman of the Medical Technology Industry Group (MTIG). He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
