To our stakeholders,

After six meaningful years of championing marine conservation, we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down the organisation.

It has been challenging to sustain the non-profit model, and after months of reflection and deliberation as to the long term viability of the organisation, we have chosen to take this step.

As we look back, we are immensely proud of what we’ve built together. With your support, we’ve encouraged responsible fishing practices, raised awareness about marine life, advocated for preserving our reefs and fostered a vibrant community of Marine Stewards, of which you are a part, and will always continue to be important champions of our marine environment.

We want to sincerely thank you for being part of this meaningful journey. Thank you to the hundreds of stakeholders that have collaborated with us these past years. Volunteers, donors, government agencies, corporates, educators, students, researchers, fellow blue groups and stakeholders - your encouragement, participation, and belief in our mission have meant the world to us and enabled us to do the work we have done. Special thanks to the management team who have steadfastly stayed true to our cause since 2019, when we first contemplated the idea for Marine Stewards.

While this chapter is closing, we believe the spirit of stewardship is timeless. If the right energy and conditions align in the future, we may find ways to contribute again.

In the mean time, we encourage you to continue supporting and advocating for nature conservation in Singapore. You can check out and support the many other passionate groups listed here:

We are thrilled to see ReefX and on the Nasdaq Billboard in New York City!

Thank you to the team for supporting our ReefX dive survey in Singapore in August 2024, where citizen science divers monitor the health of our reefs.

Airwallex has joined the Pledge 1% movement, committing 1% of their equity, along with 1% of their time, products, and profits to charitable causes.

We are heartened to have the support of companies like Airwallex who make meaningful, positive impact in communities around the world. We look forward to working with more such companies in 2025!

Sisters Island Marine Park has reopened!

Gentle reminder to anglers and boaters - the two sisters islands have yellow bouy markers around them to mark out the marine park boundary. Inside the marine park, cannot anchor, cannot fish. Outside is ok!

The spruced up island is located about a 30-min boat ride from the mainland. Read more at straitstimes.com.
