A new Rotary year, a new chapter for RCQ. 💜

RC Queenstown came together for the Installation of President Shikha Malhotra and the RCQ Board for Rotary Year 2026–27.

The evening was made even more special by the presence of our Guest of Honour, Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, social scientist and former United Nations Under-Secretary-General, who shared her perspectives and reflections with the club.

We also celebrated Rtn Afsaneh Leissner as our Rotarian of the Year, recognising her commitment and contribution to RCQ and the Rotary spirit of Service Above Self. 💜

As we welcomed Shikha and the new Board, we also celebrated the friendships, service and shared purpose that continue to make RCQ special.

Here’s to a new year of fellowship, service and Doing Good, Better! 💜🤝

A special evening at RCQ as we came together for the final meeting of IPP Marcel Furrer’s year as President. 💙

It was a particularly warm evening, with PDG Chris Chen and PP Linda Gouw also celebrating their birthdays with the club. 🎂🥂

As Marcel’s presidential year comes to a close, we take a moment to recognise the time, energy and heart he has given to RCQ throughout the year. His steady leadership and commitment have helped keep the club moving forward, while bringing us together along the way.

Thank you, Marcel, for a memorable year. And a very happy birthday to Chris and Linda! 🤗

A memorable weekend at D3310 DisCon in Kuala Lumpur! 🇲🇾🤝

RC Queenstown was delighted to be recognised with a Gold Award for Membership Growth, following an increase in our membership from 55 to 60 during IPP Marcel Furrer’s year as President.

It was also a pleasure to meet RI President’s Representative Holger Knaack during the conference and connect with fellow Rotarians from across District 3310.

Beyond the recognition, DisCon was a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, learning and celebrating the work of Rotary across the region.

A proud moment for RCQ, and another reminder of what we can achieve when we grow and serve together. 💙

Building bridges, creating impact in Vietnam. 🇻🇳🤝

RC Queenstown was back in Vietnam for a meaningful project visit to Quang Tri, in partnership with our friends at the Rotary Club of Quang Tri.

Championing the visit was then President and now IPP Marcel Furrer, with our team visiting schools and community facilities across Quang Tri to explore opportunities in special education, vocational training, school kitchens and sanitation. We also delivered handicraft tools to the Quang Tri Special Education School and 450 stationery gift packages to students across three schools.

The visit also took us to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, where we followed up on our ongoing Global Grant project with Rotary Club Saigon International. Our very own Rtn Dr. Anthony Tang also shared his expertise with a speech to the hospital audience.

Beyond the project visits, it was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our partnership with RC Quang Tri and explore new ways to support the communities we serve.

Service Above Self, across borders. 💙

A little time to pause, unwind and enjoy each other’s company. 🍻

RCQ members gathered at the Singapore Cricket Club for a relaxed Happy Hour, organised by PP Jeyan Nadarajah Jeyan Nadarajah. With some bites, good conversations and the Singapore skyline as a backdrop, it was a lovely evening of fellowship away from the usual routine.

Because Rotary is also about taking a little time to enjoy the journey together. 🤝🇸🇬
