Singapore Sindhi Association Singapore Sindhi Association's (SSA) objective is to look after the interest & welfare of the Sindhis

SSA was formed in 1921 - under the chairmanship of Mr T Naraindas. There were 10 members then & till 1939 - the Association membership figure could rise only up to 21. Today, the total membership of the Association is around 650, many of them resourceful businessmen. The Association bought it's first property in 1938, at Enggor Street, for the purpose of providing comfortable boarding facilities f

or the visiting Sindhis & for those, who were in transit - to their destination. The Association acquired properties at Neil Road & at Oxley Rise, simultaneously, in the late forties. During the early fifties, the Association decided to acquire new spacious Premises for all the resident Sindhis, to assemble & participate in the Association's activities. The present Sindhu House now located at 795 Mountbatten, was purchased in 1955. The main objective of the Association is to look after the interest and welfare of the Sindhi Community and promote the Educational, Social & Spiritual activities. With the grace of Almighty and the undying - united efforts of the members, the Sindhi Community has grown in Body, Mind & Spirit. The Sindhu House is now a Community / Religious Centre of over 4,000 Sindhis - who are away from their homeland. They very much feel at home - when they are at Sindhu House. Sindhi language classes, Yoga classes, Social - Cultural - Recreational & Spiritual Gatherings - are some of the regular activities of the Association. Sunday morning Assadivars, Sunday evening Geeta classes in English, quarterly Blood Donation Drives, celebration of Deepavali, Holi, Janmashtmi, Chetti Chand (Sindhi New Year), Durga Asthmi, Ram Navmi, Guru Nanik's Birthday, Swami Lilashah's & Dada Vaswani's Birthdays, are almost the permanent features & are celebrated every year. Marriages, Engagements, Naming - Janeo Ceremony & other Social functions are also held here.

What a wonderful afternoon celebrating International Women’s Day with the amazing ladies of the Singapore Sindhi community! 🌸✨

The Singapore Sindhi Association hosted a beautiful Women’s Day celebration today at Kailash Parbat, where the room came alive with the elegant theme colours of white, green and purple—symbolising peace, hope and the strength of women. 💜💚🤍

The afternoon was filled with delicious food, exciting games, live Bollywood music by Kirti Arora, a lucky draw, and a lively Best Dressed Ladies segment that added even more glamour to the celebration. 💃🎶

A heartfelt thank you to our organising committee — Drishti Bablani (Chair, Women’s Wing), Bharti, and Anita — for putting together such a warm and memorable celebration for everyone.

We are also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors for the wonderful prizes and gifts:
President Mr. Harry Gurnani, Vice President Mr. Vashi Chandiramani, Mr. Vishnu Belani, and Hon. Treasurer Mr. Kailash Dadlani.
