SIM Accounting Association The Official page of SIM Accounting Association. Our Sub-committee recruitment period is in July and August!

SIMAA was founded in 2011 by three University of London BSc (Hons) finance undergraduates with the primary aim of boosting the confidence and image of its members in the accounting industry. SIMAA will actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with professional institutions so as to provide the greatest amount of exposure and networking opportunities for its members. Members of the SIMAA are made up of accounting, banking and business students who are keen to explore the prospects of a career in the accounting field. Vision

We had an insightful, hands-on session led by Jovan Rianta (Equity Research Analyst), where we dove deep into analyzing real-world financial performance using Singapore Airlines as our case study! ✈️📊

💡 What We Uncovered:
• Beyond standard profit: Comparing accounting profit with cash flow to evaluate true financial health.
• Real-world application: Utilizing Excel to analyze data and uncover critical insights.
• Key accounting decisions: Decoding complex concepts like revenue recognition, hedging, and foreign exchange exposure.
