I’m Joo Fei, the publicity director for this year’s orientation. As you may have already heard during your admission interviews or on the Facebook group, we will be organising two orientation camps, namely, Tembusu Exposure Camp (TEC) and Tembusu Orientation Week (TOW). Both camps are great opportunities to meet the people you’ll be living and learning with over the next year but they have slightl
y different objectives. TEC is designed to allow participants to discover the College and UTown in a fun way through games and telematches, as well as interact and get to know friends over the course of the camp. TOW is where the College’s academic programmes will be introduced, along with the house system and the various interest groups in the College. It will be unlike any other orientation camp you have attended before and is set to be a pretty chilled and laid back week. TOW will end with a formal dinner (properly formal, shirt-and-tie dinner with wine etc.) hosted by the College's Master, Prof. Gregory Clancey and our Rector, Prof. Below are the details of both camps:

Dates: 26th June 2012 – 30th June 2012
Fee: $50
Tembusu Orientation Week
Dates: 30th July 2012 – 3rd August 2012
Fee: NIL

Do take note that we can only allow students who have accepted admission into Tembusu College and NUS to attend orientation so please ensure that you have confirmed your admission offers through the respective online portals prior to attending. This is particularly important as it also affects the validity of your insurance cover which has already been purchased for you by the university on condition you matriculate in NUS when the academic year starts. After you have filled up the form, we will send you a confirmation email with an indemnity form attached which you need to read and sign before heading down to Tembusu College to make payment and confirm your spot. Collection of camp fees will be done every Wednesday (6th, 13th and 20th June) at UTown Starbucks from 1pm to 4pm. You can contact Jonathan Go if you need any help at 93662562. That’s it for now.
