Introducing Chyi Ann, the newest member of ! A spontaneous and outgoing Media, Arts & Design student, they specialise in Story and Content Creation and will be getting involved with the many ways we share our work. Chyi Ann joins us as a Marketing and Communications Assistant through the Youth Corps Community Internship Scheme.

On why they joined us:
“I was intrigued by ArtsWok’s focus on end-of-life conversations through Both Sides, Now. It has been so interesting and eye-opening to watch the team create a welcoming space to talk about a topic others might consider taboo. I’m glad I joined because I find it so fulfilling to give back to the community in unique and creative ways!” — 🍀🍓

Meet Jermaine, our new Programme Assistant! Curious and passionate, she’ll be helping our programmes take shape – from behind-the-scenes coordination to working directly on the ground with the seniors from “Piece of Mine”. Jermaine joins through the Youth Corps Community Internship Scheme, and is the first of two new faces joining us this month.

On what drew her to ArtsWok, Jermaine shares, “I’ve always been drawn to the arts, particularly film, for the way they can help us understand different perspectives and reflect on our own experiences. I wanted to learn more about how the arts can not only evoke personal responses but also connect people and build community. ArtsWok’s arts-based approach to community development really resonated with me, and I’m excited to learn from the team and the people we work with over the next few months!” — .wongyy 🫶💃
