A weekday morning, yet a full house ,a clear reflection of how much people value their health when the right conversations are created.

We were honoured to host โ€œThe Surgeonโ€™s Perspectiveโ€, where Dr Kaushal Sanghvi delivered an insightful and practical session on identifying hidden health risks before they become emergencies. His ability to simplify complex medical realities into relatable insights made the session both engaging and impactful.

What stood out most was not just the depth of his presentation, but also his patience and generosity during the Q&A session. Every question was met with thoughtful and detailed responses โ€” a testament to his commitment to community education and care.

It was heartening to see a diverse and vibrant audience, women from all walks of life alongside many gentlemen coming together to prioritise awareness and preventive health.

Chairperson of SHE, Ms Joyce Kingsly, opened the session and witnessed the power of collective learning in action. Initiatives like these remind us that empowerment extends beyond business and leadership to overall well-being.

A sincere thank you to Raffles Hospital for their collaboration and for extending meaningful health packages to our attendees.

We also extend our appreciation to our Board Directors, Malathi Balakrishnan, S Mahenthiran, Jagdish Prasad Jaiswal, Vivek Chhabra, and S Venkat Padmanabhan โ€” for their continued support in making this event a success.

When knowledge meets community, impact follows.

As businesses navigate a fast-evolving, competitive landscape, one truth stands out: branding is no longer just a marketing function, but a strategic imperative.

This was the central theme of SICCI SHEโ€™s International Womenโ€™s Day event, โ€œBranding for Success,โ€ which brought together business leaders, branding experts, and professionals for an evening of insight, inspiration, and meaningful dialogue.

In her address as Guest of Honour, Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Ministerโ€™s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development, underscored the importance of inclusive progress: โ€œEmpowering women in business is not just about representation it is about creating ecosystems where talent, leadership, and opportunity can thrive together.โ€

In his welcome address, SICCI Chairman Mr Neil Parekh reinforced the role of such platforms: โ€œFor businesses today, branding is not just about visibility it is about credibility. Platforms like this enable leaders to exchange insights and translate ideas into meaningful action.โ€

SICCI Board Director and SHE Chairperson, Ms. Joyce Kingsly, set the tone with a reflection on progress and purpose: โ€œEmpowered women are not just participants in the economy they are architects of change. Over the past year, SHE has focused on building platforms that enable women to lead, contribute, and thrive.โ€

The eveningโ€™s keynote by Ms. Anita Kanal, Former CMO at Netflix, highlighted the evolving nature of branding in todayโ€™s dynamic environment.

The panel discussion brought together leaders from the branding and marketing space, each offering practical, experience-driven perspectives:

Moderating the panel, Ms. Natalie Indra guided a dynamic and insightful discussion, drawing out candid perspectives from the speakers.

Ms. Priya Mann, Former Head of Creative at Kantar, emphasised balancing insight and imagination, while Ms. Shwetha Srivastava, Founder of StartWright, spoke on the entrepreneurial journey of building brands.

Ms. Lim, Author of โ€œNot a Marketing Bookโ€ and Founder of ChrisSpeak, highlighted the importance of communication that is authentic and Ms. Nish*ta L., CMO of IFS Capital, reflected on trust as a cornerstone of branding.

Across the session, one message was clear: branding is not optional, it is central to business growth, leadership, and long-term relevance.

In closing, Ms. Ujala Ravishankar, Organizing Chair for the event, summarized the event in stating โ€œThe essence of branding is staying authentic and consistently delivering on your promise.โ€

SICCI remains committed to creating platforms that empower, connect, and inspire leaders to build businesses with clarity, purpose, and impact.

At the SICCI Post-Budget Fireside Chat 2026, we brought together about 250 policymakers, business leaders, and the wider enterprise community for a conversation that matters not just about policy, but about ex*****on.

We were deeply honoured to host Minister Chee Hong Tat ๅพ่Šณ่พพ and MOS Gan Siow Huang ้ขœๆ™“่Šณ, alongside ambassadors, industry leaders, and members of our vibrant ecosystem.

As highlighted during the session, businesses today are navigating a world reshaped by three powerful forces:
โ€ข Geopolitical fragmentation redefining supply chains
โ€ข Rapid technological acceleration, especially in AI
โ€ข Workforce and demographic shifts impacting productivity

For Singapore where trade flows exceed three times GDP, these are not distant trends. They are daily realities.

Yet, amid uncertainty, Singapore remains resilient. Growth, competitiveness, and trust are driven by disciplined policy, strong institutions, and close governmentโ€“industry partnership.

Budget 2026 is a strategic blueprint โ€” and for SMEs, the backbone of our economy, it matters more than ever.

Beyond the announcements, one question stood out:
How do we translate policy into productivity and strategy into real growth?
As Chairman Neil Parekh said ,
"Our members are asking:
โ€ข How will Singapore remain competitive in a rapidly changing global economy?
โ€ข How can enterprises adopt technology without leaving workers behind?
โ€ข How can SMEs position themselves to capture opportunities beyond Singaporeโ€™s shores?
These are not abstract questions.
They are immediate, operational, and deeply strategic.
This is where platforms like SICCI play a critical role bridging the gap between policy intent and enterprise outcomes"

As our Chairman, Mr Neil Parekh, noted: โ€œBudget 2026 sets the direction, but the real work lies in how effectively businesses translate support into productivity and growth.โ€

We thank our Gold Sponsors, Mr Abdul Jaleel (MES Group) and Datoโ€™ Mogan T (Board Director, SICCI; Chairman, Dragnet Smartech Security Pte Lt), whose leadership underscores the need for businesses to move faster, adopt smarter, and scale beyond borders, with platforms like SICCI bridging ambition and ex*****on.

Budget sets the direction.
Ex*****on defines the outcome.
And conversations like these ensure we do not just understand policy but act on it.

SICCI was pleased to participate in the recent Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) Breakfast Roundtable with TAC Leaders a meaningful platform bringing together industry voices to discuss emerging challenges shaping todayโ€™s business landscape.

Our Board Director and SNEF Council Member, Datoโ€™ Mogan T, represented in his dual capacity, while our Executive Director, Ms Jamuna Rani Govindaraju, attended as a TAC leader reflecting SICCIโ€™s continued commitment to contributing actively to national employer conversations.

โ€ข The evolving impact of tariffs on trade and competitiveness
โ€ข The growing influence of AI on business operations and workforce transformation
โ€ข The role of HR accreditation in strengthening workforce capabilities

A key highlight of the session was the structured group discussions, where TAC leaders engaged in candid exchanges and shared practical insights. Senior SNEF representatives joined each table to capture perspectives directly ensuring that employer voices are not only heard, but meaningfully documented and reflected in policy and programme considerations.

As Board Director of SICCI and SNEF Council Member, Datoโ€™ Mogan underscored the importance of sustained engagement: โ€œPlatforms like the SNEF roundtable are critical in ensuring employer voices are not just heard but translated into action. In a rapidly shifting landscape from tariffs to AI sustained dialogue between TACs and national bodies is essential to keep policies grounded in business realities.โ€

Echoing this, Chairman of SICCI, Mr Neil Parekh, highlighted the importance of ex*****on: โ€œFor Businesses, the challenge is not just understanding change but implementing it. These dialogues are critical in bridging policy intent with ex*****on on the ground.โ€

In a rapidly evolving economic environment, regular and meaningful dialogue between TACs and national bodies like SNEF ensures that policies remain grounded in business realities, and that employersโ€™ needs continue to be represented with clarity and conviction.

Strong economies are not built on policy alone they are built on alignment between policy, industry, and institutions.

SICCI looks forward to strengthening this collaboration further and welcomes more such platforms that keep a strong pulse on the needs of the employer community.

SICCI was pleased to support the Indian Infrastructure Forum panel held at St. Regis Singapore, and Board Director Mr Jeyakumar Janakaraj (JJ) joined industry leaders from Macquarie Group, CapitaLand, and NTT DATA Japan๏ผˆNTTใƒ‡ใƒผใ‚ฟ๏ผ‰ on the Digital Infrastructure panel.

The discussion reflected a clear shift in global sentiment: India is no longer seen as an emerging opportunity, but as a strategic destination for large-scale, long-term infrastructure investment. A key highlight was the scale and ambition of investments shaping Indiaโ€™s digital future. As shared by JJ, the Adani Groupโ€™s capital expenditure has reached nearly USD 17 billion, about 9% of Indiaโ€™s infrastructure GDP, with a long-term commitment of USD 100 billion towards AI and digital transformation. billion towards AI and digital transformation.

A Global Capital Magnet
Foreign investment remains pivotal, with global institutional players recognising Indiaโ€™s high-growth data centre market and billions expected to flow into energy, connectivity, digital platforms, and AI infrastructure.

โ€œIndiaโ€™s next phase of growth will be shaped by how effectively it integrates global capital, technology, and partnerships into its infrastructure story. This is where Singapore-based ecosystems can play a catalytic role.โ€
- Mr Neil Parekh, Chairman, SICCI

Indiaโ€™s Position in the Global Landscape
A strong view emerged during the panel: โ€œIndia is no longer catching up it is setting the pace. Outside of the US and China, it is fast emerging as one of the most compelling destinations for digital infrastructure and data centre investments.โ€
- JJ, Board Director, SICCI & CEO, Adani ConneX

The Infrastructure Supercycle
India is currently undergoing a major infrastructure Supercycle, anchored on:
โ€ขAI and digital infrastructure
โ€ขEnergy transition and sustainability
โ€ขUrbanisation and connectivity

Platforms such as AdaniConneX are expected to scale to beyond 2GW capacity in the coming years signaling strong long-term conviction in Indiaโ€™s digital future.

SICCIโ€™s Perspective
For Singapore businesses and investors, this is a compelling opportunity. Indiaโ€™s rise is not just about scale, but strategic alignment with global trends in digitalisation, sustainability, and cross-border investment. SICCI is committed to bridging Singapore and India ecosystems, enabling members to participate in these high-growth corridors.

Leadership in Action
We thank the India Infrastructure Forum for organising this event and JJ for representing SICCI in this dialogue. This goes beyond infrastructure, it reflects where the next decade of global capital, data, and innovation will converge, with India at the centre.
