Granny's Sprout

Granny's Sprout A Social Enterprise specialising in handicrafts made by Asian Women Welfare Association (AWWA)'s elderly beneficiaries.

AWWA Handicrafts Project is an initiative organized by the AWWA Senior Activity Centre (SAC). The centre reaches out to low-income seniors around the vicinity and seeks to help them live out their golden years in satisfaction and meaning. Through this initiative, the seniors will be involved in a small-scale business to produce and sell their hand-sewn products, of which profits shall form their

source of supplementary allowance henceforth. This shall value-add to the lives of the underprivileged elderly by providing them with a platform to attain active aging while generating supplementary allowance to enhance their standard of living. The elderly beneficiaries will not only acquire sewing skills but they will also be engaged in physically active and socially interactive activities which shall brighten their retirement years with purpose and meaning.
