We all celebrated through singing our favourite National Day songs ๐ŸŽถ and playing games, completing a fun stamp rally and enjoying yummy snacks! ๐Ÿข

But it takes more than just residents to bring a celebration like this to life. Weโ€™re grateful to all our volunteers and partners who contributed in their own ways to make this celebration possible. Your time, effort and support made the day extra special. โค๏ธ

What does loving Singapore look like? Sometimes, itโ€™s found in the everyday actions of people in our community.

Meet Mdm Lim Chye Hong, 74, a Cantonment Towers resident who spent an incredible 41 years as a school attendant before retiring. But retirement hasnโ€™t meant slowing down! Today, she continues to actively participate in and contribute to the community she calls home. โค๏ธ

As Mdm Lim puts it simply:
โ€œHappy National Day! Singapore is a great place to be. Singapore is a beautiful and clean country. I love Singapore!โ€ ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

Fellow Cantonment resident Ms Anitha Tamilmaran also recently caught the attention of NDPeeps with her creative National Day decorations, lovingly made using recycled materials! โ™ป๏ธ

Mdm Lim and Ms Anitha remind us that love for Singapore can be expressed in many ways - through how we serve, contribute, care for our neighbourhoods and do our part to make this a better home for everyone. ๐Ÿกโค๏ธ

This National Day, we celebrate them and the many Singaporeans whose commitment, dedication and love make our little red dot so special.

๐Ÿ”’๐Ÿ“ฑ to our Scam Awareness Workshop at Tiong Bahru CC!

Our participants picked up valuable tips on how to spot scam calls, fraudulent messages and online scams, while learning practical steps to safeguard themselves and what to do if they ever encounter a scam.

We were also glad to have a special Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) talk, where participants gained useful insights into planning ahead and making informed decisions for the future.

A big thank you to all our participants, volunteers and partners for making this workshop possible. Together, letโ€™s continue to look out for one another and build a safer, more informed community!โค๏ธ
