"Wrong Starting Point vs. Right Starting Point"

👉Wrong Starting Point:
Focusing on YOURSELF

(Job 12:10 - “In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”)

What Drives Our Plans?

1. Guilt
•People who live in the past.

2. Resentment or Anger
•People full of unexpressed anger.
•People holding deep grudges.
The people who hurt you in the past should no longer have the power to hurt you today.

3. Fear
•People afraid of making mistakes.
•People who have experienced trauma.

4. Materialism
•People who believe material things can bring true happiness.

5. People’s Approval
•People who depend on others for their sense of worth.
•People who live to please others.

Romans 8:6 – “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace”.

Without a clear purpose:
“Life becomes motion without meaning,
activity without direction,
and events without reason”.

👉Right Starting Point:
Focusing on your CREATOR

Benefits of Aligning with God’s Plan:

1. Gives Meaning to Your Life
•God gives your life purpose.
(Job 7:6; 7:16)

Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine”.

2. Simplifies Your Life
•Helps you live a simpler, more contentment life.

3. Focuses Your Life
•Your life gains clear direction.
•Without focus, people are often indecisive and easily distracted.
(Philippians 3:13)

4. Motivates Your Life
•Gives you lasting drive and inner motivation.

5. Prepares You for Eternity
•Aligns your life with God’s eternal purpose.
(Romans 14:10b, 12)

“God is not just the starting point of your life – He is the very SOURCE of your life”.
