Presented at Silk Road International Fashion Week 2026 | Guangzhou
From destruction, rebirth emerges.
Blackened Ground is inspired by volcanic landscapes - where molten force meets stillness, and beauty is formed through rupture. The collection captures the quiet moment after eruption: ash settling, lava cooling, and the earth slowly regenerating.
Sculptural draping and asymmetrical construction echo the unpredictable flow of magma, while precise tailoring reflects the calm and stability of cooled terrain. Each silhouette balances structure and fluidity, tension and restraint.
A refined palette of ivory, ash grey, obsidian black, and molten bronze mirrors volcanic elements. Silk organza and satin create sheer layers with subtle sheen - evoking smoke, steam, and heat haze - while structured satin and taffeta form corseted bodices that symbolise the earth’s compressed, powerful crust.
