District Superintendents from across the Asia-Pacific Region gathered at the First Pacific Leadership Academy in Antipolo City, Philippines, from 13-16 May 2026, for the Asia-Pacific Regional District Superintendent Summit. Centered on the theme, “Leading Transformational Districts: From Vision to Multiplication,” the summit brought together 85 district and field leaders for a time of learning, collaboration, spiritual renewal, and renewed alignment with the Region’s vision and mission. A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the Mindanao region of the Philippines at 7:37 a.m. (Philippine time) today, prompting tsunami warnings across parts of the Philippines and neighboring countries, including Indonesia and Japan.

Please pray for the people affected by this earthquake. Pray for God's protection, comfort, and provision for families and communities facing uncertainty and fear. Also, pray for the church to be a source of hope and compassion during this time, seizing every opportunity to serve, support, and share Christ's love with those in need. 🙏🙏🙏

Our hearts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters in Mindanao who were affected by the recent earthquake.

May God grant protection to those in danger, comfort to grieving families, strength to rescuers and responders, and hope to communities facing uncertainty. Let us stand together in faith and compassion during this difficult time.
