Directing & Acting Workshop Series – 37 Origami Bees

Ready to take your next step in theatre? Join the Stage Club, Singapore for our annual Directing & Acting Workshop Series, led by the wonderful Susie Penrice Tyrie.

This year, participants will collaborate on a collection of original 10-minute plays under the umbrella title 37 Origami Bees, written by members of Playwrights Thriving, a vibrant international playwriting community. Through a series of hands-on workshops from August to November, directors and actors will develop these new works before bringing them to life in a public showcase next January.

Whether you're looking to direct for the first time, sharpen your acting skills, or be part of creating brand-new theatre, this is an exciting opportunity to learn, collaborate and perform.

A toast to Pangdemonium for 16 wonderful years of bringing exceptional theatre to Singapore.

A toast to Pangdemonium for 16 wonderful years of bringing exceptional theatre to Singapore.

To everyone who came to take a long hard look in 𝘼 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 – Thank You.

It was perhaps fate that this play was programmed into Pangdemonium’s final ever Season, and the last one to be directed by Tracie Pang. 𝘈 𝘔𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳 was an apt reflection of how theatre is the one platform where storytellers will (against all odds) always fight to speak hard truths, ask tough questions, and challenge ourselves and one another to be better humans. That is exactly what Pangdemonium has done our best to do over 16 years. And we are very grateful to all of you who have been with us on the adventure.

So, even as we are about to take our final bow at the end of this year, we trust that you will continue making theatre an essential part of your lives, communing in a living, breathing, live space, and sharing ass-kicking adventures in theatre together.

Onward.
