Join us for a group playreading of Plaza Suite by author Neil Simon.

Set in a single room of New York City’s Plaza Hotel, three distinct couples navigate separate relationship crises: a failing marriage, a movie producer's seduction attempt, and a hysterical pre-wedding meltdown. Through their brief stays, the comedy offers a witty, cynical look at love, s*x, and commitment.

🎤 All are welcome — whether you want to read or just listen in. No acting experience needed!

The Stage Club is looking for actors to be part of our year-end pantomime! This year’s pantomime is based on “Robin Hood”. 

If you’re interested in using your talents to enchant and entertain this holiday season, come show us what you’ve got on 19 September and 21 September. Sign up for audition slots via the Calendly link below.

Show dates: 29 Nov, 4 - 6 Dec (please note that there will be 2 shows each on 5 and 6 Dec so you’ll need to be available for the whole day)

Commitment period: mid-Oct to early-Dec

Character list:

Robin Hood - He’s got charm, wit and a lack of modesty. Singing ability preferred.

Little John - Robin’s partner in crime. A fair bit wiser, a fair bit taller.

Marian - Sharp and strong-willed, she won’t stop until the Sheriff is out of office. Singing ability preferred.

Sheriff - She finds your economic oppression tedious. Singing ability preferred.

Big Ted  - The Sheriff’s aide. A man of few words. Physical presence preferred.

Nurse - Marian’s nurse and our panto dame. Must be comfortable with ribald humour. 

Ensemble - The ensemble plays the important role of bridging fantasy with reality. Must be comfortable with speaking in the local vernacular. Strong sense of comic timing preferred.

Please prepare a one-minute comedic monologue of your choice. If you are interested in any of the singing roles, please also prepare an a ca****la excerpt from a pop/musical theatre song of your choice.

Thank you so much for your overwhelming support for our production of Everything but the Brain! We appreciate the vulnerability of all our audience members - in opening important conversations about grief and caregiving, and also sharing their own personal stories in response to this piece.

We are glad to have shared all the emotions in this beautiful script with you, and we hope to see you at future Stage Club productions!

Directing & Acting Workshop Series – 37 Origami Bees

Ready to take your next step in theatre? Join the Stage Club, Singapore for our annual Directing & Acting Workshop Series, led by the wonderful Susie Penrice Tyrie.

This year, participants will collaborate on a collection of original 10-minute plays under the umbrella title 37 Origami Bees, written by members of Playwrights Thriving, a vibrant international playwriting community. Through a series of hands-on workshops from August to November, directors and actors will develop these new works before bringing them to life in a public showcase next January.
