For six years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Love Unveiled Ministries in Uganda , supporting children from financially vulnerable families to stay in school through fees and scholastic materials.
Because in rural communities, education can be the difference between opportunity and survival.
When a child leaves school, they may end up working on family farms. For girls, the risk can be even greater - early marriage, driven by poverty and the financial pressures facing families.
That experience shaped the three pillars I care deeply about:
𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.
𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
And now, I’m taking the next step.
🇺🇬
In rural Oyam, Northern Uganda, I have sponsored a plot of land with a vision to build a women’s training and entrepreneurship centre.
A place where women can learn practical, income-generating skills such as tailoring, clothing, soap-making, natural products, entrepreneurship and other locally viable crafts.
The goal is simple:
𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬, 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.
Because when a woman earns, she doesn’t only change her own circumstances. She can change the trajectory of an entire family.
But I also want to share this story.
I’m developing a documentary around Project Lira, capturing the journey from the ground up; the women, the challenges, the training, the setbacks, the breakthroughs and the impact.
Not a story about poverty.
A story about possibility.
To reinvest the returns back into Project Lira and help the model grow.
And this is where I’m reaching out to my social network.
I’m looking for investors, producers, brands, foundations, impact partners, broadcasters, OTT platforms, filmmakers and storytellers who may want to be part of this journey.
You may have expertise, equipment, distribution or introductions.
You may want to support Project Lira directly.
Or perhaps you simply know someone who should see this.
I’ve already put my own resources behind this vision, including the land. Now I’m looking for partners who believe this story and this model is worth building.
If this resonates with you, please reach out.
And if you can’t contribute financially, sharing this post may be what connects us to the person who can.
Sometimes, changing a life doesn’t begin with a million-dollar investment.
Sometimes it begins with one person asking:
"𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩?”
