Join our family and be the difference to the autism community! Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore that offers Singapore's mainstream academic curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students with autism, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access mainstream academic curriculum, but require additional support such as smaller class sizes

, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The School was established by Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) at the invitation of the Ministry of Education (MOE). ARC(S) is a not-for-profit charity based in Singapore and registered in 2000. It was started by professional and parent volunteers dedicated to serving children and adults with ASD to help these individuals lead meaningful and independent lives in society.

We were honoured to welcome Senior Parliamentary Secretary (SPS) for Ministry of Education & Ministry of National Development, Dr Syed Harun, and representatives from Ministry of Education, SG Enable, and Ministry of Social and Family Development, to Pathlight School for an engagement session. 💙

Through a school tour and dialogue sessions with our school leaders, parents, and staff, the visit provided opportunities to share ground perspectives and explore ways to strengthen post-school transition support for SPED school graduates. ✨

[Visit to Pathlight School @ Ang Mo Kio]

I visited Pathlight School's Ang Mo Kio campus as part of my ongoing engagements under the Taskforce on Assurance for Families with Persons with Disabilities.

I was heartened to observe the school’s commitment in helping their students develop confidence, independence and practical life skills. Through encouragement from their parents, teachers and educators, the students discover the best version of themselves and aspire towards their best potential.

I also had the opportunity to meet Justin, who is an alumnus from the Vocational Track. Through guidance from chef mentors, he confidently demonstrated meal preparation for staff and students using an automated cooker. I also spoke to Siddhant who proudly showed me a video which he had edited using OpenShot in his Computer Applications lesson.

After the tour, I heard from members of the School Management Committee, School Leaders, staff and parents, gaining deeper insights into their hopes and listening to their concerns and hopes for our students with special educational needs.

Thank you Pathlight School for your warmth and hospitality. I am grateful for the conversations and experiences shared, and I will carry these reflections forward as we strengthen inclusivity and integration for all in the community.

At Pathlight, every school day begins with a simple but purposeful practice with our Regulated & Ready Routine (R3).

Through feeling check-ins, breathing exercises, and guided activities, R3 helps students recognise their emotions, regulate their energy levels, and feel ready for the school day.

Practised daily, this routine builds habits of self-regulation and focus, supporting our students to show up ready to learn and engage, one day at a time.

Sportsmanship and teamwork on full display 🎉

Our Primary 3 to 5 Pathlighters from Pathlight School (Tampines) had an exciting Sports Day last week at Tampines Meridian Junior College! ✨

More than just a competition, students demonstrated what it means to keep going, support one another, and celebrate every effort and achievement together 🏃‍♂️

From the track to the stands, it was a day of camaraderie, friendship, and striving for excellence in both sports and everyday life.

A big shoutout to our teachers and staff, our parent and corporate volunteers and TMJC students, for making this a memorable and meaningful day for our students! 💛🏅
