𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 – 𝗔 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸

Last Friday, we were proud to celebrate the completion of our inaugural cohort from the Future Leadership Fellow (FLF) programme. This initiative was designed with Consulus, supported by DesignSingapore to develop the next generation of design-led leaders – individuals who can bridge disciplines, inspire collaboration and creative meaningful impact within their organisation and community.

We were honoured to be joined by an esteemed panel of leaders: Adhiraj Mahajan (PRISM+), Shermeen Tan (OuterEdit), Simon Ong (Kingsmen Creatives), and Stacy Tan (Yellow Octopus) moderating the conversation. Through candid reflections on their leadership journeys, they shared valuable insights on navigating complexity, balancing strategy with adaptability, and leading change across design, product, technology, branding, and the creative industries.

A heartfelt congratulations to our inaugural Fellows. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved throughout the programme and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make.

We are excited to launch the DBCS Seed Award, a platform dedicated to shaping emerging exemplary designers of 2026.

This initiative is about more than recognition—it is about preparing designers, institutions, and students to lead in a rapidly changing world.

𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟲

As a designer, have you ever done great work that went unnoticed?

Many designers create meaningful work, yet struggle with visibility. Visibility is not about being louder, it is about helping others understand the value behind the work through clear storytelling, thoughtful presentation and strategic communication.

The second half of the day focused on Mini Capstone Projects, where leaders tackled challenge statements in groups from DBCS, GovTech, and National Council of Social Service (NCSS). Drawing on frameworks such as Future Triangles, ADKAR Model, they presented their case and approaches to a panel of judges from these organisations.

We were grateful for the judges’ participation. Their questions, industry perspectives, and practical feedback challenged participants’ thinking and strengthened both their ideas and communication.

The session concluded with a reflection on each leader’s journey since day one, recognising how they have grown in mindset, confidence and leadership.
