This taxi isn’t like any other… 🚕👻

Did you know that Mediacorp’s predecessor, the Television Corporation of Singapore, directed a horror movie? Neither did we! Writer Chengsheng got to watch it at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) and here’s what he thinks!

While Spirit on Wheels is easily accessible on meWatch, we would recommend everyone to try catching a telemovie at the SCCC Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC) !

The Telemovies of the 1990s programme is running until 10 January 2027 with each screening day featuring two telemovies. You can also pair this with a visit to the excellent temporary exhibition on the history of Singapore Chinese television dramas titled Singapore TV: From Local to Global.

Shoutout to the Letterboxd review for MAD DANCE OFFICE, we see you! 👀🕺If you haven’t caught it yet, you’re in luck: it’s back on Sunday for the last weekend of the Korean Film Festival 2026.

After Paris, Texas, where do you go? To the city, of course!

Shot in black and white, ALICE IN THE CITIES tells the story of a German journalist and a 9-year-old girl, Alice, as they try to find her estranged grandmother.

On making the film, Wim Wenders said: “I didn’t know you could make movies while traveling. I didn’t know you could actually get in a car, start a story, and the itinerary and story would become the same. While we made Alice in the Cities, I found out. I felt like a fish in the water. This was the kind of filmmaking I was born for. It gave an incredible freedom, because it did allow, for once, to shoot the film in chronological order.”
